ICICI and ING Direct have a 10$ minimum on how little you can transfer per transaction to/from your bricks&mortars bank, in my case TD. Does anyone know if PC Financial or HSBC Direct or anyone of the other online banks allows you to transfer less per transaction?
Also, I was able to link my ICICI account to my TD accont without having to send in a TD cheque to ICICI. I just inputted the bank, transit and account numbers of the TD account on the ICICI website and had to confirm the amounts that were deposited to the TD account. I know this is how PayPal works as well. I also know that ING doesn't allow this, and insists on you sending in a pre-printed cheque.
Does PC Financial or any of the other online banks allow this?

I use Citizens bank, they need a personalized cheque too. I said I have to pay for the cheque from BMO. Citizens bank said they will pay for me to buy cheques from BMO. So they deposited $30 into my Citizens bank savings acct.

Wow I'm surprised they would do this for their customers! Good for them

At ETRADE CANADA, the maximum per transfer is $99,999.99 as per https://www.canada.etrade.com/estation/eft/eftlimit.shtml

PCF has also offered to pay for my cheques.
But when a family member called for the same thing (twice) the reps said it was not possible. Any idea if this is different treatment based on how much money you have with them? or possibly just hit and miss with the reps.

I just checked PayPal and indeed it has no minimum for deposits to PayPal, though for withdrawls from PayPal, if you withdraw less than 150$, you're charged a small fee :(
Anyone know about the other online banks, like HSBC Direct or Etrade Canada?
