Looking for input from someone in the know.
I am being laid off shortly and will be getting a "bonus" payout 2 weeks after my last official pay check. The bonus is basically a courtesy by the company I work for because I am losing my job. It will be between $1000 - $2500. It will be classified as a bonus. When I apply for EI is there anyway this can be overlooked or will this delay receiving my benefits and in reality really mean nothing at all as E.I will determine how long that money should last me and make me not eligigable for EI before that time they determine passes.
