If it's on the shelf in a bag, it's not what we're looking for.
The Old Dutch are in two bags in a box.

no they did not change the packaging. they are both old dutch brand potato chips, just different chips/packages
Their product line includes brands such as Old Dutch Potato Chips, Dutch Crunch, Ripples and Restaurante Style Tortilla Chips.

SECRET'S OUT OF THE BAG: OLD DUTCH MAKES ITS WAY EAST
Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada introduced to Western Canada’s snack of choice
Attention: Assignment Editor, Food/Beverage Editor, Lifestyle Editor, News Editor
TORONTO, ON, NEWS RELEASE--(CCNMatthews - March 26, 2007) - Old Dutch, one of Canada's most craved snack foods, will soon become available to all Canadians. Old Dutch will be launching their popular Dutch Crunch brand of kettle cooked potato chips, Restaurante and Arriba brand tortilla chips throughout Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada starting this month, after 53 years of only being available west of Thunder Bay.
In 2006, Restaurante Multigrain was awarded a People's Choice award for Best New Product in the snack food category, and in 2007 Old Dutch won the Best New Product award for Old Dutch Rip-L Creamy Dill potato chips. Old Dutch Rip-L Creamy Dill potato chips and Dutch Crunch Chipotle Lime kettle chips are also both finalists in the Snack category for the 2006 Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards, presented by the Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors.
"People who have grown up with Old Dutch see our brand and our windmill as an endorsement of premium quality snack food products," says Scott Kelemen, National Director of Marketing for Old Dutch Foods. "Old Dutch is a Canadian brand icon with a very loyal following. Our commitment to premium quality snacks, innovation, and support of active communities have made Old Dutch Foods a leader in the industry for over 50 years."
Old Dutch is renowned in the snack food industry for never having used hydrogenated oils for its corn or potato chip products, and the company was the first snack food company in Canada to commit to zero trans-fat across whole product lines. Old Dutch Restaurante Premium Tortilla Chips are made with whole white or yellow corn, contain zero trans-fat and are low in saturated fatty acids.
For the time being, Westerners can take heart that not everything Old Dutch that is sacred to them will be shared with everyone else. Some Old Dutch favourites, including the famous Old Dutch twin-pack box, will still only be available in Western Canada.
In-store and point-of-sale displays for Old Dutch will feature Calgary Flames captain Jarome Iginla promoting the fourth-annual Restaurante 'Give Kids a Chance to Play' program. Through the promotion Old Dutch will donate $250,000 to KidSport™, a national non-profit organization providing assistance to disadvantaged kids to participate in organized sports.
In the 'Give Kids a Chance to Play' promotion, Restaurante consumers will have the chance to win a daily prize of a Jarome Iginla Sport Kit valued at $700, including an autographed Easton® Synergy™ hockey stick, a limited edition Iginla poster, an iPod nano and sport sensor kit, and sports apparel. I really like the Dutch Crunch kettle cooked chip line. My favourite flavour has got to be the Mesquite BBQ while my older sister likes the Jalapeño cheddar kind.
There's also some tortilla chips and nacho chips by Old Dutch as well. When I was in Vancouver a couple years back, the brand is well known. Nowadays, I now frequently see those Old Dutch commercials on my telly.

Ever since reading this thread awhile ago, I've been noticing more and more places that sell Old Dutch. I bought a pack at the convenience store at the NW corner of Bathurst and Wilson a few weeks ago (to try), and then a few days ago, I saw them at a Buck or Two at Centerpoint Mall (Yonge and Steeles).
I picked up a small bag of the Original flavour. It's ok, but not something I'd make an effort at finding again. What are some of the recommended flavours?

Interesting ... didn't know that Old Dutch wasn't available back East until lately.
I grew up on the the double bag/box of Old Dutch.
Then again, I just tried some Humpty Dumpty just last month from my local Safeway. Never seen them before except in conversation here on RFD.

I am from the Peg currently in Saskatoon...and i agree the original flavor is nothing spectacular. But here are a few need to knows regarding their Old Dutch flavors...
* Their Rip-L-Chip is by FAR the best dipping chip ever
* Ketchup is literally coated with sweet ketchupy goodness
* OD BBQ is actually hot, not sweet
* Their Bacon flavor kicks butt...can't handle a whole bag, but a haf is perfect
* "arriba" nacho chips are fantastic on a homemade taco salad
Enjoy!

I'm so glad these chips are finally in TO. I grew up in Winterpeg and Old Dutch were a staple in my house. At that point I only knew that potato chips came in cardboard boxes with the twin packages, so when I moved to TO i couldn't find them here and ask....."you know Old Dutch, the ones in a box" and they looked at me like I was crazy.
I know a lot has changed since then but I still haven't seen my favorite flavour - Onion & Garlic, I'd be very sad if they discontinued it, they were the best. >:(

Same here in out east, we no longer see Humpty Dumpty. The flavoring tastes the same although I have to admit I really like their All Dressed.
For Kettle cooked, I adore their Salt and Vinegar, you can actually taste it compared to most tame chips. I notice a new bag this week for Parmesan and garlic or something like that. I bought a bag but don't care for them, not my style at all.
Aslo, the Old Dutch Ariba nacho chips are very good. I noticed that the Ariba and Kettle chips are lower in fat than the other brands like Lays or Doritos so I stick to them.
