View Full Version : Why Do People Hack in CS..

Mar 25th, 2007, 02:58 PM
there was a period of time when there were no hackers in pubs.. at least the ones i were in. then today they started coming back again.

i honestly don't get why people hack.. ESPECIALLY those hacks where you spin around at a super-duper fast speed, and speed hacks. i mean what's the point of that? the round is over in 5 seconds.. and you don't even do anything all you do is hold down the shoot button.. and what's so fun about those spin hacks? i mean doesn't it make you dizzy?

i'm usually one of those people who'll just join another server when a server has a hacker.. but hacking just ruins the entire game. do people use speed hacks and spin hacks because they actually find that fun? or do they do it because it ruins the game for everybody else?

they probably find fun in yours and others frustration as everyone cries "hacker"
they also probably feel as though they are good ..

LOL.

Actually, when someone is spinning and doing 50 million spins a second, they don't see it, it's just you and peoplel ooking at him that see it. Even if you spectate him then it looks as if he's spinning.

The better topic question is Why Do People Always Think You're Hacking When You're Doing Good And If There's An Admin There, You Get Banned.

well no one takes cs seriously anymore, it's kinda lame now, so to make it fun you hack and laugh at people whining and bitching about you hacking, then you invite a couple of friends to come in and joke around...well thats what i did when cs got boring, the hacking got boring too and just gave up

The better topic question is Why Do People Always Think You're Hacking When You're Doing Good And If There's An Admin There, You Get Banned.

cuz cs is full of noobs now and all they can do is complain when you're better than them

yeah i get pretty pissed when people call me a hacker too.. sometimes i just get lucky with some shots and after one round they say i hack already.

so many people looking at this thread, anyone want to play at the RFD server?

I never really played CS and my friend is bugging me to buy it... couple quick questions:

1. What's the cheapest I can get it? $40 for such an old game seems pretty steep...

2. If I end up buying it, what're the chances they'll release "#2" sometime soon? I hate when I finally jump into a game and BAM I need to buy the sequel.

3. Is it really that fun? I've heard mixed reviews >.>

3. Is it really that fun? I've heard mixed reviews >.>1. If you mean the Half Life 1 based version (1.6 now iirc) then it's US$10 thourgh www.steampowered.com. Or you can go down to your local store and buy a copy of Half Life in the bargain section for about $10 - $15. Then you install Steam and add your Half Life key to your steam profile (you don't actually install the Half Life software from the CD). You'll get Half Life, CS, DOD and a few other things too.

Of course there is CS:Source which is the Half Life 2 based version. This costs about US$20 or so.

2. Updates are automatic through the Steam client. There are no announced plans for a "CS 3" atm.

3. Your best bet is to try it out at your friend's place first. It's lots of fun if you like that kind of thing and more so if you play online with friends.

EDIT : Um, yeah. Like SpikyAZN said really...

1.6.. i think it's a dedicated serv

So to get this straight.....

CS 1.6 is $10 and CS Source is $40.

What's the difference?

So to get this straight.....

CS 1.6 is $10 and CS Source is $40.

What's the difference?

source is more updated.. better graphics, more realistic (nades don't go through walls, flashbangs are much more realistic) but source is easier than 1.6 to play. if you want a good-looking game, get source, if you want to get something more harder to play get 1.6. honestly, source's recoil is almost non-existent.. i'd definitely take 1.6 over source if you don't mind crappier graphics (compared to source) and sometimes non-realistic things.

source imo isn't worth it.. unless you are a sucker for graphics (which i was..), at least for $40. maybe if it was cheaper.

$40-$10 = $30

Therefore the difference is $30.

No.
CS is $10 and CS:S is $20. Who told you CS:S cost $40 ?

With CS you get a nine year old graphics engine which will run on almost anything.

With CS:S you get Source Engine graphics which will run on most modern PCs, even if you only have cheap ugly integrated graphics on the motherboard.

Whoever made cs paid people to create hacks. Then these hacks were released so people would use them. That way, steam would be able to take over one day to give themselves a reason to keep updating and sign up and pay this way and help with all the piracy at least some how.

Some ppl are just jerks. Some ppl probrably want to see what all the hacking is all about and some people just want to joke around and annoy ppl for fun every once in a while.

CS is most fun when you have your own group of friends and have clan matches. Any lag kills the fun, it's gotta feel almost live. The flashing in css is worse in my opinion because it will flash anyone. In 1.6 u can turn around and be half blinded. So you can't use that to ur advantage anymore. It's a skill to use flashes( a certain way that is).

Absolutely. that's why I only play at work now, officially we call it "team building excercise". Head shot a coworker from across the map (fy) and hear him ***** and moan is so much more fun. We even pooled our money together and got an account for another coworker so he can play with us.

CS Source is selling for 20USD via Steam, HL1 (CS 1.6) for 10USD.

I admit recoil is quite random is Source, but hey 1.6 wasn't perfect when it was new, so I believe (and hope) Source will be improved overtime.

I wallhack in Source...you will be surprised at the number of people I catch walling as well, even admins! From what I have seen I think the majority of people hack or maybe just occassionally hack.

FutureShop and Bestbuy? You're free to pay double the price at BB and FS if you want, but as this is a deals forum, you're better off downloading Steam (which you will have to do anyway with the box set) and then buying CS:S through the Valve Shop.

Here. I've even posted the direct link (http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=game&AppId=240&cc=CA) so you don't even have to go through Google first...

i've never seen hacks on source before.. but then again i never played that much.

i used to wall in 1.6.. but not to shoot people through walls and boxes.. i just used to use it so i would know where people are coming from, or where not to go cause there's a lot of people

I used to hack in 1.6 and source too, but it was simply wallhacking, I never used those aimbot or speedhacks. True I found others wallhacking too, however via wallhacking, I actually learned to play better (ex where people usually camp and what spots to check).
