I knew I remembered something about a giant burrito 'weapon'. This happened a few years ago.

New Mexico School Locked Down After Huge Burrito Mistaken For Weapon
Updated: April 29th, 2005 10:51 AM EDT
ASSOCIATED PRESS
CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) -- A suspicious item the prompted the lockdown of a middle school here and a massive police response turned out to be a giant burrito containing steak, guacamole, lettuce, salsa, and jalapenos.
A concerned citizen called authorities Thursday morning after seeing a male student carrying a suspiciously concealed item into Marshall Junior High School.
In addition to the lockdown, adjacent streets were closed and police were perched on roofs with weapons.
The drama ended two hours later when the suspicious item was identified as a 30-inch burrito wrapped inside tin foil and a white T-shirt.
''I didn't know whether to laugh or cry,'' school Principal Diana Russell said after the mystery was solved.
The incident began about 8:30 a.m., Russell said.
Within minutes, state police, Clovis police and the Curry County Sheriff's Department were on the scene.
Police searched the premises and determined there was no immediate danger.
Russell said the burrito was discovered after she brought the school together in the auditorium to explain what she knew about the series of events.
''The kid was sitting there as I'm describing this (report of a student with a suspicious package) and he's thinking, 'Oh, my gosh, they're talking about my burrito.'''
After the meeting, Russell said the student, Michael Morrissey, approached her.
''He said, 'I think I'm the person they saw,''' Russell said.
The burrito was part of Morrissey's extra-credit assignment _ to create commercial advertising for a product.
''We had to make up a product and it could have been anything. I made up a restaurant that specialized in oddly large burritos,'' Morrissey said.
After students heard the description of the alleged weapon, Morrissey and friends began to make the connection. He then took the burrito to the office.
''The police saw it and everyone just started laughing. It was a laughter of relief,'' Morrissey said.
''Oh, and I have a new nickname now. It's Burrito Boy.''
More than 30 parents, alerted to the incident by a radio report, descended on the school, where they initially found little information.
Visibly shaken, they gathered around in a semi-circle, straining their necks, awaiting news.
Heather Black, who has a son at the school, echoed the sentiments of the crowd.
''There needs to be security before the kids walk through the door,'' she said.
Russell said about 75 students left the school with their parents soon after the lockdown was called off. At the time, the suspicious item had not been located.
Russell praised police for their efforts and school officials for following procedures properly.

It might not be that big but they are quite huge. I had a steak burrito and it was a full meal. Maybe I'll try the Jumbo next time. :D

oh my god, those burritos are the same size as a small child. . .
if i were 23 again, i'd be salivating.
here i thought the burritos i used to get from the happy sailor on queen were big--that's just ridiculous. if that's not approaching five pounds of food, i'd be surprised.

i don't mind burrito boyz at all either...i love their burritos (i'm currently hooked on the halibut ones)...and i just found out my friend's brother works there and he might get a job there too....
i've tried the burritos at quesada as well (near king/church) and they're not bad either, but burrito boyz is better...

Better have the phone # for Roto Router on speed dial. On second thought, I'd hate to be the poor bastard who has to clean the bathrooms in that restaurant.

Why all the burrito hate? I think it looks delicous. I'd probably order one and split it with my entire family, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It looks to have a large amount of vegetables (onions and tomatoes, anyways) which is a + in my books.
If you think it's disgusting only because of the size... that's not really fair. Nobody has to or should eat it all themselves or at one sitting.
Hell, that could probably feed me for a couple of days. Mmmmmm.
Holy! Thats a lot of sour cream...ewwwww.
I love sour cream. I only eat the non-fat stuff so I can pile it on... but hey that's just me!

My ass hurts just looking at it.
You wont find anything near that portion size in this country.
But for decent mexican/tex-mex try Mexicali Rosa's...they have about a half dozen locations in Canada.
