Yea, these were not donated. HUGE discount however, someone on Kotaku posted (supposedly an accountant) that you get more tax savings if you sell it at a huge loss rather than outright donating it so there ya go. Leave it to Nintendo to count pennies ;).
as for Sony, they did "donate" those TVs during the sony UK launch :cheesygri
