Lakisha is probably the least popular of the 3 black girls. They are splitting the votes. Every year there seems to be a controversial booting and this week, it just might be her.

I think both Lakisha and Melinda are talented but they are really hard to look at. :D They would sell less than Ruben or Fantasia.

I don't think they have any charisma and they aren't as marketable as Blake, Sanjaya or Jordin.

I think this season sucks and I don't like anyone. I really don't care who wins. So I'm hoping Sanjaya sticks around because at least he isn't as boring as the others.

you know, im sure this is all a publicity thing... the producers will problly keep him around until the final two and he'll lose to someone with talent. this whole sanjaya thing is boosting there ratings and keeping ppl interested in watching the show. i wouldnt be surpised if there are a few "under the table" things going on at American Idol making sure sanjays stays on till the end.

ofcourse this could backfire and the shows credibility down the can if he gets to the final two.

People would lose faith in the show and next season's ratings would tumble especially when it comes time for renegoticiating advertising rates. The producers know that those voting for Sanjaya are only doing to ruin AI not support it. What else can the producers do?
Remember: Advertising slots for this season have already been purchased. Next season is another matter.

Yeah. Fewer actual people voted which allowed for others to vote far more in bulk. Instead of getting 1-2 votes for yourself, you were able to get 5-6 votes for yourself.

Well, it's limited in how much rigging they could've done.

Sanjaya's DialIdol score put him in last place, so it's not a stretch to believe his supporters just kind of dried up.

Personally, I think if there was any word of rigging, credibility and lawsuits would ensue... I'm not sure Fox would risk that, even to oust Sanjaya.

Just curious, b/c I'm not a fan of the show, but the couple of times I've see him, he was either terrible, or passable (in all meanings of the word)-when he did Besame Mucho (I think it helped him to have Jennifer Lopez as coach-the expert in knowing how to make a pretty bad singer sound half decent), but certinaly not deserving of all the hype.
