View Full Version : Beware: aZnDeViLbOi did not ship product, kept my $$

Well this is a rather long story. I will keep it as short as possible.
Almost a month ago, aZnDeViLbOi was selling enterprise editions of Office 2007 which he said he acquired through his dad's work. After prompting me for quick payment as "they were selling fast", I payed through paypal and awaited shipping confirmation. None came.
After a weekend of pestering, I got a reply saying that the discs were damaged during shipping, but he could sell me a "backup" I requested my money back, he countered with a lower price on the backup disc. I argued I was paying for an original, unused CD and key. He disappeared for a week.
I opened a claim through Paypal which eventually made him surface only to ask that I remove the claim from his account, and then he would refund me the money. I don't think so buddy. So the claim is still open, and no further response has come to my attempts to communicate through Paypal's Resolution center, MSN or PM.
If nothing else, this should serve as an awakener to anyone who, like me, has become a little too comfortable in trusting people selling stuff after numerous good transactions. Rest assured aZnDeViLbOi, I WILL get my money back, just a shame you were such a waste of time and so full of lies.

He's around and still posting. I sent him a couple of messages through the threads he has started. Perhaps if everyone does the same, he'll get the message.
Keep the Paypal dispute open until you get paid back. Leave negative heat if your haven't already.

Why bother with a dispute? Just file the claim and get your money back.

I have already filed a claim, and left negative heat. Not surprisingly, it's the first time someone's left feedback for him.
Apparently this post or the heat caught his attention. He sent this via MSN, and disappeared, not responding to my reply right after.

sry about the cds... i will be shipping it monday or u would be recieving ur funds thursday.
At this point I just want my money back. The legitimacy of the CDs is clearly in question. Anyway, we'll see how this plays out. The sooner it's resolved, the better. :!:
P.S. Sent you a PM Koslov
Thanks for the support guys.

This lamer needs to be taught a lesson. I believe some other members pointed out that he is probably posting under different accounts with similar names as well. I wonder why RFD doesn't ban him?

Please perma-ban this punk.
Wish there was a way to keep the teeny boppers away from RFD since they seem to cause the most trouble...

This says it all. Software licensed for business is not for resale. Is his dad bringing home "copies" of his companies software?
If I did this with what I have access too, I'd be rich, or in prison.

I bet he was trying to sell a corp CD-KEY. The freaking noob must have thought that each copy of Office for enterprises come with unique CD-Keys.

Well I will definitely look at going the MS route. Didn't realize they pay. You're right Mark, he's nothing but a bundle of joy in the form of lies.
Smunky, while that thread is nearly hilarious for all the wrong reasons, I can't say I am that surprised after my dealings with him.
And for sure, once I found it was "from his dad's work", and that he was so quick to suggest shipping me a "backup cd"... the thought of a corp key wasn't much of a stretch. No way I wanted any product from him even if he could deliver.
Anyway I have given the kid more than enough time to respond and cough up all of my cash. Time to start pursuing the avenues I should have pounced on from day 1.

This seller should be perma-banned asap before he rips someone else off.
OP, how much did he take you for?
I would definately get in touch with MS piracy division ASAP.
Something tells me this guys Dad is the one who will take the most heat for this.
Would not be surprised if he loses his job for "borrowing" company software for his own personal use, then having it fall in his scammer son's hand for resale.
Pathetic.

He's 13. Does anyone have any contact info? Maybe a call to his parents might work -- unless they're deadbeats too.

I would hope his parents have some class. I mean, if his dad works at a business where he can get free copies. Hopefully he can talk to his son about what he's been doing.

hes 13? That explains why Devilboi is doing what hes doing, because he knows he cant go to jail at that age. Trust me, kids at this age will NOT learn their lesson, until they actually get pounded in the slammer.

I beleive anywhere before 16, you can't do anything to the kid. Unless they kill someone. Otherwise, they can't be charged or prisoned. The most that can happen, is the parents get charged for their kids stupidity. But, it does suck how very little can be done. I mean, you should be able to get your money back. But it would be nice to be able to punish the kid now so he doesn't do it again. Thinking he can get away with it.

Unfortunately I was sucked into this one a little too quickly and didn't get the kid's address. I have little other than an email address to go on. Paypal has done little for me, so I will pursue other avenues. In my experience the police would do little in this sort of circumstance, however I could be wrong.

how do you expect Paypal to pick sides when it's YOUR word versus the SENDER'S? Unless the sender gets alot of complaints about fakes then Paypal will believe YOUR story.

Um, because it's cheaper?
I mean, a retail copy of XP costs $100-150. I've seen people selling it for as little as $50. It's the same as buying hardware. You have to be able to trust the seller, of course, certain software should not be bought. Some companies do not allow the reselling of software. So, it's always good to try to abide by those companies. But, doesn't mean you have to I guess.

Wrong. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, he can be charged at age 12 or over. But unless he has a wicked record already, no he won't go to jail. They're will be consequences, and one of them may be restitution, but jail is highly unlikely and really won't help you get your money back.
Sucks OP, sorry for your luck.... or lack thereof.

As a person in law enforcement i will tell you, since he is only 13 he will most likely get a slap on the wrist maybe some community service (especially if he looks pitiful and sad in the courtroom) if he has a record already its only a slightly more painful slap on the wrist maybe a fine and or community service, and the parents would be notified but nothing would happen to the parents unless microsoft decides on a civil suit, which is possible.

Wow, didn't know that. Always assumed it was the parents that got the charge. Nice to know the kid gets charged, parents will most likely pay for it. But perhaps the parents will start to watch what their son does, and maybe it will leave a nice criminal record.

Certainly does.
I raised an eyebrow to begin with, but honestly a name's a name. It could have just been an alias he's kept for years... kinda like mine lol.
Anyway I have managed to recover some of my funds and I am pursuing it through my cc company for the rest. All of that takes time though, so we'll see how it pans out.
I'm a little outraged that he's still trying to sell stuff on the forums though
