how many hours is a hard boiled egg good for @ room temperature? If shell is not damaged it would be days, not hours. 2-3 days at least.

I had the same question last night
It appears to be two hours. After that, bacteria and toxins can start to get to dangerous levels.

i have a friend who often ponders about weird things like that and actually did put an egg on his window sill for a verrrrry long long time.....i dont know how long it was "good" for....it wasnt hard boiled, but fresh....it was there for a couple of months and then the shell started to turn soft, like u could poke it....was pretty scary cuz i didnt want to be there if it broke, thankfully my friend got rid of it somehow....

To me as long as there is no funny smell or taste, eat it. That's what I do. I leave stuff out on the stove for hours.
