You can see Luongo, Naslund and the rest of the boys for free :) I'm gonna check my work schedule and ask my friends and get some tix.
Also this is by General Admission so you can sit anywhere!
Edit** There is a one time transaction fee of $2.50 but that's all. You can get up to 6 tickets and see the boys in action.
EDIT** If you go to GM Place and get them at one of the Chevy Ticket Windows there is no $2.50 Transaction Fee

Actually, it's a $2.50 handling fee in total for up to 6 tickets, which isn't too bad...
That's one of the reasons I hate Ticketmaster :(

I think it'll be a packed house with 18,000 plus fans. We'll have more fans at a practice then Phoenix has at a game  I forgot to mention the $2.50 Ticketmaster fee but the tickets are free.
This is a great event for the fans and families who can't afford or get the high prices Canucks game tickets which have been sold out since day one. It'll be a good event I think and it's great the Canucks are doing this for thier fans.
Make sure to donate to the charity boxes which will be present around the arena on that day:)

I still get a $2.50 charge. What'd you choose to take out the transaction fee? I already tried the Ticketmaster Retail Location Pickup option and the Will Call option.
Tickets (Vancouver Canucks: Open Practice)
Free Ticket CA $0.00 x 6
Total Convenience Charge(s) No Charge
Order Processing Charge(s) CA $2.50
Ticketmaster Retail Location Pickup No Charge
TOTAL CHARGES CA $2.50

To get the 6 tix without the $2.50 charge, I walked up to the window at gmplace and asked for the tickets. I did NOT order online to get them. So i was not charged. Alot of people who were eating at costco for breakfast, their $2 hotdog + pop saturday morning, was informed, as this lady who picked it up for their kid told everyone sitting in the area.

I don't think these tickets will last long especially since our team has been playing amazing of late and you can see Luongo for free :) it can't get any better then seeing the league's MVP for free can it? I'm pretty sure the lower bowl will be packed and so will most of the upper bowl. A bunch of fans attending the Wild game tomorrow will get a handful of tix each as well. So GET UR TIX ASAP FOLKS or you might be left out
:D I think we'll have more fans at a practice then Phoenix has at a Coyotes game

Had to scratch and claw to find homes for tonight and thursdays games. Only 3 people at work really like hockey, makes finding people to go difficult sometimes!
At least these are free, and free can not be wasted like actual unused game tickets (which we have had a few of this year already).

I'm heading down to this open practice, should be a good time.

They never get given away to strangers. They are purchased through work, so I have really no say in finding homes for them. Only 2 games were missed this year. One was due to the snow, and the other game was forgotten. All tickets for the rest of the year have homes, so I don't have to worry till next year :)
I picked Detroit, could have gone tonight but I am too tired :)
Free practice might be really cool to see. Luongo gives away his stick at practices, better get there early for a seat that will give you a chance!

If you want to receive the tickets free of all charges, you must go to GM Place's ticket booth. Just ask them for tickets to the open practice.
If you order through Ticketmaster, you must pay the $2.50 charge. I'd suggest checking Ticketmaster's website for availibility before heading to GM Place for the tickets though. They may be 'Sold Out' by now.

Don't order them online unless you wanna pay 2.50, just go directly to the GM Place box office and get them and there is NO CHARGE at all. I went to GM Place yesterday and got some tickets and there was no charge. There were a lot of Canucks fans getting them before the Wild game.

fact: live around metrotown, bby, and work in metrotower
head to gm place: spend $3.25 for skytrain or $3 gas + at lease 1.5 hour
buy on line: $2.5 charge + 1 min order + 5 minutes pick up (yeah, there is a ticketmaster location in metropolis)
apparently latter option is a better deal for me

I can't wait to see the league's MVP live again. I say Luongo should win the Hart trophy over Brodeur and Crosby.

It depends how many ticket you ordered I think. The limit is 6. I'd give ticketmaster a call or just go to GM Place and buy the tickets in person.
I can't wait to see the Canucks live in the lower bowl, i've been to a few games this season and been in the uppers, if you live in Vancouver you know how pricey Canucks tickets are especially lowers. I think i'll go over to the club section and sit back and relax and watch the boys and best of all, for free :D :D

I am as much a homer as anyone else here in Vancouver. Unfortunately Broduers stats are far above Luongo. 41 wins in 66 games (Luongo has a close 39 in 65 games), That is the only close stat for these guys,
Brodeur has 12 Shut outs while Luongo has 3.
Brodeur has a 2.14 GAA, Luongo is 2.35GAA
Brodeur has .924 Save Percent, Luongo .920.
Not saying Luongo is bad at all. I am just saying give Brodeur the love he deserves. He is having an amazing year.
If anyone deserves the MVP it's Brodeur.

The Hart Trophy is not given to whomever has better stats. The value of a player to his team is important as well. New Jersey has always been a strong contender: true, they are lacking in defense now without Niedermayer and Stevens, but New Jersey as a team is stronger than Vancouver.
Look at Vancouver's changes. New coach, new goalie, no Bertuzzi, Jovo, or Carter. At the beginning of the year, they overpaid to keep Kesler, and only had three strong defencemen (Ohlund, Salo, Mitchell). Analysts were being optimistic when they said the Canucks would make the playoffs. Not to mention that the NorthWest was considered the toughest division in the NHL.
While I won't claim to know New Jersey's inner workings, they seem to have fielded the same personnel year after year. Gionta, Elias, Gomez, Langenbrunner, Rafalski have all played with NJ for many years. Yes they got a new coach as well, but their division is weaker than the Canucks', and as a whole, the West is stronger than the East.
Of course, it's way too early to tell. If the Canucks win the NorthWest and make a deep playoff run, Luongo would definitely be a Hart contender. Brodeur is a lock for the Vezina, and Crosby has the Art Ross. It would depend a lot on playoff success.

Well said. I think the Devils would be higher in the standings without Brodeur then the Canucks without Luongo. Luongo has been nothing but amazing for the Canucks and is our MVP. We'd be at the bottom without him, especially since the team was grouping together at the first half of the season.

Think about who NJ has had when they won cups. Scott Stevens and? There is no way Luongo means more to the Canucks than Brodeur means to the Devils. He is a proven winner and does it year in and year out. You can't say that Luongo is even in the same league of "winner" than Brodeur. Other than World Juniors, Luongo has only proven an EXCELLENT back up to Brodeur, even on the international stage.
Let me clarify. I HATE the Devils. I LOVE the Canucks. I LOVE Luongo, he is the best player we have ever had, period.
Problem is, Luongo is having an amazing year in the same year someone is having a better one. Period. Bottom line, I would take the Canucks top 6 D this year any day over the Devils top 6 D.
The Canucks are trying to mimic the way the Devils play. Naslunds numbers are proof that they are trying to be much more defensive minded.
Who would you rather have as a D-Core, and be honest:
[]Devils
Brian Rafalski
Paul Martin
Brad Lukowich
Johnny Oduya
Colin White
Andy Greene
Canucks
Kevin Bieksa
Sammy Salo
Mathias Ohlund
Willie Mitchell
Brent Sopel
Lukas Kraijckeck/Rory Fitzpatrick.
If you say the Devils top 6 d-man, your drunk. Making what Brodeur has done this year, even more impressive.

False. The Hart, Vezina, Norris, etc are not based on playoffs at all, not even the slightest bit. Voting is conducted at the conclusion of the regular season.

Thanks for clarifying. I guess only the Conn Smythe is dependent on the playoffs. But it is still too early to tell, since the season's not over yet. :)

Yes, NJ has won three(?) Cups based a lot on the strength of Brodeur's play. But with every great goalie there needs to be supporting personnel, ie. the other 5 guys on the ice.
It's hard to compare Brodeur's past to Luongo's. Brodeur has been the starting goalie for almost every international tournament for Canada, while Luongo has been a solid backup at the most. We haven't seen Luongo play in many high-pressure games. NJ without Brodeur is still much stronger than Florida without Luongo. Florida NEVER made the playoffs, while NJ has three Cups. Name someone who plays for Florida. Bure, Jovo, and Jokinen aside, the Panthers have never made a decent effort to make the playoffs, let alone make a Cup run.
The only valid comparison is this season. Yes, Brodeur has out-performed Luongo in almost every category. Yes, Vancouver's defense is better than NJ's. But I've never watched the Devils play and I don't know their chemistry or playing style (which I imagine is defensive). Simply saying that the Devils have Paul Martin doesn't mean their D is a doddering train wreck (sorry, had to throw that in).
If the Devils and the Canucks win their respective divisions, then I would agree with you that Brodeur should win the Hart. However, you can't look at their past when judging. The reasons I already stated should prevent it from being a cakewalk.

Don't get me wrong. I am a huge Luongo fan. I am also a sports fan. I remember pre-season, the Devils were not picked to do much. Just like the Canucks. It's easy to see the parallels between the 2 clubs. Before the season started, most would have picked the Northwest division as the toughest in hockey. NJ plays in a division with Pittsburgh (yep they dang good!) The Rangers (they are only 2pts from a playoff spot) and the Islanders. I believe the strength of division would be very similar to the canucks. The Canucks are playing with Edmonton and Colorado, who are both going to miss the playoffs. Devils play only with Philidalphia, who is going to miss the playoffs.
Any other year this would probably be a no brainer vote for Luongo and MVP. In a close year with close stats (bar the 12 shut outs) and with a heavily eastern based voting system, I have a hard time believing Luongo will win it. He deserves it though! Brodeur should be retired by now, old man!

^ I know what your saying but I still say the Canucks would be worst off without Luongo then the Devils would be without Brodeur. Luongo is our best player and i in my opinion the MVP of the league.
