funny this set was at a lower price than 2499 in the past. Personally I would buy the Westinghouse 42" 1080P over this hands down. I bought one at 1489 plus tax, the unit rocked had I not got the AT3705 for $332 w tax I would still have the Westy

ive heard bad things about westy. Its $1800 right now, not that great of a deal. For that money, might as well fork over $200 more and get the toshiba. And then at that point, might as well fork over $300 and get the sammy lol.

Yip, those three are on a whole different level than any other brand. The W.H. looks decent, but if you are spending that much might as well spend few hundred more and get a Samsung or Sharp.
This just shows just how good of a deal that 1080p 42 Sammy was earlier this week. $1818 wow  Im jealous for the people who were able to get one. Thats the one that I plan on getting.

I have a 47" Westinghouse at home and 32" Sony Bravia in my office. The Westinghouse is very close in picture quality - only lacking in black level retention when viewed off-axis. The Sony has nice eye-popping colours but I think the Westinghouse's are actually more natural.
As far as bang-for-the-buck value, nothing comes close to the Westinghouse. I've owned mine for seven months now without any technical issues of any kind. I have a Starchoice HD receiver and Xbox 360 w/HD-DVD and I am very satisfied.
I would certainly recommend the Westinghouse over the Insignia.
