VONAGE(the internet phone company) is going down - LOL
their prices AND plans always sucked anyway.
If you want a real phone, go with Bell or Telus
If you want an internet phone, there's no reason(both before and now) to go with Vonage. try www.primus.ca at $30/mo or www.italkbb.com for $25/mo both companies, and many others offer much better packages than primus. www.timestelecom.ca is another good one too.

As we mentioned yesterday, Verizon sued VoIP provider Vonage, claiming the company infringes on five VoIP patents the telco developed in the nineties. The jury's verdict is in, and they found that Vonage infringed on three of the patents (also see Bloomberg). They've ordered Vonage to pay $58 million in damages, as well as a 5.5% royalty rate on each Vonage customer, per month. Verizon lawyers have requested a permanent injunction barring Vonage from further use of the patented tech, with a hearing date set for March 23. Let the Vonage death watch commence.
