I just got a router / access point (same thing?) and was wondering if there was any special way to configure it to use it to connect my 360 to my wireless network I have set up right now... I dont want to buy that expensive adapter microsoft is selling, so if anyone can shine any light that would be GREAT! :)
Thanks

I'm doing exactly what you're asking for. Your router may not support it.

If you can connect the xbox to the router with an ethernet cable, it should be plug an play for the most part.

Sorry, I didnt make my question clear... My 360 is in the basement, and my wireless router is upstairs in the office 2 floors up, so running ethernet cable is out of the question... I just got an access point from my friend, and was wondering if there was any possible way that I can hook up that access point to my 360 and make it connect to the wireless network I have in my house right now? Instead of buying that pricey xbox360 network adapter.

If it isn't clear, what the OP wants is to make a wireless bridge. It may not work since your router may not support it. Basically, you have to set it to client mode.

You have to get a wireless bridge. Any wireless router that can load DD-WRT firmware can be turned into a wireless bridge (mainly broadcom based routers like various linksys, motorolla, buffalo, etc). There's also a few routers that have bridge mode support right out of the box like the Gigafast router at Best Buy. My brother uses the Blanc Router (same as Gigafast) he bought from CTY http://www.cty.ca/details.asp?pid=2042 and it works with xbox live.
