i got a capital one card at 6.9% and a airmiles master card at 11%. now i normally use the capital one for big purchases in which i can't make the full payment by the due date and small purchases on master card....but now i want to use the master card for all of my purchases.
has anyone successfully gotten a rate match for their credit card?

AFAIK, CC rate mathcing is not really possble in Canada. w/ most CC companies you usually have to qualify to get the lower interest rate CC. You need to usually have a beacon or high internal credit score. The lowest rate CC you can get is typically 10.9% w/ most CDN chartered banks. Was the 6.9% int rate you got thru Capital 1, permanent or only for a limited time?

The Capital One rate is permanent but it has conditions. If I miss 1 payment, it goes up to 18% for a whole year and then back down to 6.9%.
