I know there's a few vegas threads in here but I thought I'd start one specifically for casinos.

So what's everyone's choice for the best comps, drinks, and games? What are some of the looser casino's around Vegas also?

For sites and celebrity sightings my favorites were Bellagio and Wynn. If you want a laid back, not crowded atmosphere, low table game limits, good comps, $1.99 Steak and Eggs, etc...my favorite was South Coast - south of the strip.

10- 15min south of mandalay bay.

but gold coast has similar specials for graveyard times and is closer. just across from palms and 5min drive from bally's. orleans also has specials on weeknites graveyard time.

or just goto ellis island for 4.99 steak dinner

I'm staying at the flamingo and we were kind of looking for places that were close by, how far are these places that you're talking about?

They still have $1.99 steaks going on? I remember going to one like almost 10yrs ago.

I always go to Gold Coast whenever I'm in Vegas. That's where all my relatives hang out. Get a card, change big bills into chips, hide half the chips and play with the rest, sit the tables long enough and ask the pit boss to comp you for free buffet or at that chinese restaurant they have there, forgot what it's called. Not as busy a place, but have tables with lower minimum limits. Upstairs have arcades and bowling alley if you bring your kids with you.

The loosest casinos would be on the old strip.

best comps are depending how much you play? but bellagio, and TI have decent promo's.

For a really good time and lots of action... go to the hard rock and the palms. lots of action at both places.

Ellis Island is only a 10 minute walk from Bally's. The $4.95 steak meal is ongoing, 24 hours a day. And it is 10 ounces of prime top sirloin. Definitely worth the walk, not to mention their microbrew.

The only casinos I won on slots at were Hard Rock and Venetian, both times it was between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. I read on a LV forum that slots tend to be looser around then because of the locals coming in after their workday is over although the Hard Rock was really dead at that time.
