Hello all,

Derek is going to be on Breakfast Television in Vancouver on Monday talking about RedFlagDeals.com. He wants to mention some great deals that people may not know about. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Heres one for food.

The Vancouver Community College Downtown has a culinary arts cooking school. Part of their curriculum is to serve people in the cafeteria.

They serve what i consider fine-dining type/quality food for i believe is $5.65 inc tax.

Usually they have a selection of about 5-6 mains and 8 sides. Your meal includes 1 main and 3 sides. They even have a Roast of the day. Mains cycle too.

I believe service starts at either 11:30am or 12pm and ends at 12:30pm. Cant quite remember the start time.

I always go down there, when I have a meeting or training downtown.

NCIX deals?

I'm pretty familiar with a lot of cheap food deals. Lemme see what I can dig up.

Here's another deal, on East 8th Ave (off Quebec I think, please double check this because its been near 2 yrs since I lived in Vancouver) there's a Daniel le Belge chocolate factory where you can get quality Callebaut chocolates for much cheaper than retail, and it's open to the public.

awesome someone upload the clip when its done! That's the first thing I thought about doing when I read Ryan's post. But what time will Derek be on? I'd gladly do this but don't want to get up at 6:30.

It's a small nondescript entrance and the shop is partially below street level. Boxes are about 1/3 off the retail prices (not seconds and just as fresh) but no loose chocolates to mix & match, although there is 1 kind, sometimes 2, to sample for free at the till.

A couple of "unknown" deals...

For people going to BC Place or GM Place, Costco's food court is wide open, you don't even have to enter the store. 1/4 hot dog and pop (with refill) for $2.11.

Free 2 hour parking downtown. Between Thurlow and Jervis, south sides of Haro and Barclay, in designated sections. Spaces are limited but with meter prices going up you can save a few bucks if you luck out.

The Grouse deal is perfect! I'll try to mention that one. Also found another one which I posted to the deals page now for 1/2 priced event tickets. Anymore deals?

Not sure when exactly I'll be on but I believe sometime between 7:15 and 8:30 AM Vancouver time. If anyone could tape it and put it online I'd very much appreciate it!
