Hi,

We are heading down to TO next week for Spring Break. Since we will be there I was wondering if there is anything to do in Niagara Falls at this time of year. Is it super cold with the blowing mist? Are there still alot of tourist at this time?

Is there anything to do there will young children? Does the Marvel Adventure place still exist?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The first thing you'll notice when you come to the falls is that even at this time of year, there are still lots of tourists although it's certainly not being overrun by them.

Even without the festival of lights, the falls takes on a whole different atmosphere in winter. It's absolutely gorgeous.

There's lots of other things to do. Back in January, we hit the Niagara Falls bird kingdom and had a blast.

The lorikeet feeding was an absolute hoot. You don't have to be a kid to have fun there. :)
(and for those who are into it, they are _very_ photographer friendly. I was told by the staff that they don't even mind tripods. The only stipulation is that you don't use flashes in the nocturnal exhibit)

Everything is open year round here in The Falls. As Pete said, the falls look so different this time of year and are a photographers dream. Everything within range of the mist is covered in ice and is breathtaking with the slightest bit of sunshine.

Thanks for the bird kingdom suggestion. it looks interesting. Ticket is $13 dollars if it is bought online

I've never been to fallsview casino. How do you get the free drinks? Free parking with the membership card too right?

If you are playing at the tables (Black Jack, etc) someone goes around and gets your order and you don't pay for non alcoholic drinks, but tipping is expected.

A lot of OLG Casinos are starting to put in Self Service sites, though usually there is still someone walking around asking if you'd like something.

For kids, there are a couple of big indoor woterparks,
one is on top of the old casino's parking lot.

There is a pic of it here along with info re the Marvel comic stuff.

I just spent the last week at Niagara Falls, I stayed at the Brock Plaza hotel.

At this time, there is no one at niagara falls except for elderly coupons who like to gamble. During the day maybe you'll see 100 other people outside on clifton hill.

As for things to do for kids, you can see the falls frozen, and te falls light up at night.

Marvel Experience is still open,

you can go on the skywheel

I'd recommend buying the niagara falls membership pass thing, it saves you money if you plan on doing all the things like Skywheel, wax museums, the 3d movie theatre, and all those other fun things.

If you're going during the week, please note most restaurants an shops are closed Monday - Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Things like Wendy's, Tim hortons, and the big restaurants are still open!

There is an indoor water park, and the casino's are open 24/7

If you want a quiet vacation this is the time to go to Niagara Falls, since there is literally no one at this time!!! Not like in the summer when there is 1000's of people all the time!
