Lots to see, without spending any money, each hotel, has something unique about it.
You can check out
the Fremont Experience, for the light show.
Volcanno at the Mirge
Dancing Water light show at the Belligo
Make sure you pack your comfy shoes (lots of walking)
Minds a blank, anyone like to add.

Some casinos offer decent bonuses for player card signups (e.g. $15 free slots at Venetian (expired)).
If you plan on playing any table games, buy the 2007 American Casino Guide. It has a lot of matchplay coupons in there plus some 2-for-1 food deals.
More inexpensive steak...
$2.99: New York steak and eggs, breakfast potatoes and toast, served from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Upper Deck in Las Vegas Club.
$3.45: New York steak and eggs, available 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. at Ellis Island
$4.95 10 oz top sirloin steak, potato, green beans, salad, available 24 hours at Ellis Island (not on menu; must ask specifically for it).
If you're downtown for the Fremont Street Experience, drop into the Golden Nugget to see the world's largest golden nugget (not far from their pool which has a tube slide running through a shark tank).

The first tip I would tell you is to RENT A CAR ! It is usually pretty cheap, like $18-$20/day. Use Orbitz.com and when they ask for an address, make up a US address as it doesn't accept Canadian ones. When you get down there, they ask for your I.D. anyways and take the proper information on the rental.
Since we started renting cars, it has been fantastic how much time we save going from place to place. When you go shopping at the Premium Outlet Mall just north of Stratosphere, you can come and go at your convenience plus have a place to drop off all of your stuff as shopping is FANTASTIC there. Make sure you go to the mall administration office beside Addidas and ask for a mall coupon book. Before 11 AM or with a CAA card, it is free, otherwise it is only $5, but it has coupons/discounts for about 1/2 - 2/3 of the stores in the mall.
The great thing with the car is that you can see so much more and can do so much more at your own. There is free parking at every hotel.
Make sure you stop by the dualing piano bar at NY NY in the evenings. It is rocking there usually and lots of fun. The wife will love it....

Not Free but you can go up the Eiffel Tower two for one if you sign up for their players card ( I think)
Free would also be going into Bellagio shopping area ( fun to check out the obscenely expensive stores)
Bellagio Conservatory
Bellagio Jean Philippe (buy a pastry so worth it)
Caesars Palace There is a cool fish tank and then an animatronics show at the end of the mall. It's cheesy but kinda cool.
Free - lets see.... not sure if seasonal but they have the Sirens Show at T.I. (at least they did when I was there in November)
If you don't want to rent a car ride the Deuce get a daily pass it is worth it especially if you are going downtown (the ride is about half an hour so budget your time)
I would suggest if you are buying souvenirs to buy at Walgreen’s or other local Pharmacy type stores other then Shops because better prices.
Walk through Paris and see the shops have a crepe and sometimes books have two for one buffet. It is a good breakfast buffet and they will let you stay for lunch as well if you get there late enough.
Have a great time!!

I would forget about Alladin and head for Bellagio's
buffet instead. For a few bucks more, the quality
is exceptional.
A meal at Strat's "Top of the World" is a great idea.
$4.95 Steak dinner at Ellis Island. I heard the price
has gone up by $2 now.
Get tickets to see Mystere. It's expensive but you
won't regret it.
If you are familiar with Star Trek, head for LV Hilton
to see the Star Trek Experience. You can get 1/2
price tickets for this at the outlet.
Get 1/2 price tickets to see "the Fab Four" at the
Alladin. It's nothing compare to the new "Love"
show but it's not $120 either.
If you have a car, consider a trip to the South Rim
of the Grand Canyon. It's about a 4.5 hour drive
each way. It's a once in a life time experience.

I was at Vegas this past weekend:
watch the BELLAGIO Fountain Show from the Eiffel Tower.
Caesar's Palace in incredibly LARGE, so decide to spend lots of time there
The Mirage Lunch Buffet has 11 different cuisines
Gondolas in the Venetian
Moving Statues at Caesar's Palace
OPM Nightclub at Caesars (Christina Aguilera'S after party was there on Sat. night---->NOTHING BUT HOT CHICKS THAT NIGHT)
BRING LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER
The weather's really really dry so try and find a place that has a humidifier or
FREE DRINKS if you gamble long enough, just remember to tip the waiter/waitresses and they'll fill you up more frequently (penny slots for 3 hrs = 14 drinks...lmao)

You can get players cards at any casino you go to. Most will have offers ranging from free buffets, show tickets, free play, match play, t-shirts etc, just for signing up. You can have some fun just walking from casino to casino signing up for these things.
I'm not really a buffet fan because I rarely feel like making a pig of myself and it kinda grosses me out watching other people with gravy on their chins, chewing while carrying heaping plates back to their seats . Ya do have to go to one though to see for yourself what I'm talking about.
The sportsbook at the Mirage is a nice spot to relax, have a few drinks and wager as little as $2 on a horse race. Every conceivable televised sporting event is on one screen or another and the waitresses never seem to tire of bringing you free drinks.
Most places have spas and various types massage and treatments , if you're into that sort of thing.
Downtown is worth visiting. Grittier feel, lower limit gambling, cheaper food, cheezy souvenirs. Most of the waitresses there are somewhat older than the ones on the strip and will give you the lowdown on good places to eat.
Caesars Forum shops are a good place to go browse if you ever wondered what it's like to have too much money.
