Has anyone been there before? just wondering what to expect and how expensive things are. In particular the booze :)
I've heard vodka is expensive so perhaps I will bring a few bottles of my own

haha there are alot of us going and we are renting a beach house. Barbados imports all it's vodka and I hear its sold for a very high cost

Booze is cheap in Barbados. Its the meals that are expensive. I've been to the island seven times and NOTHING will compare to the beaches of Barbados. The best beach is Accra Beach, right behind the Accra Hotel and Resorts.

Enjoy your stay and go out to the Oistins Fish Fry every Friday night. Its an outdoor BBQ party with the locals. Don't worry, its a friendly nation. :)
