AVG Free (http://free.grisoft.com/doc/avg-anti-virus-free/lng/us/tpl/v5) is a perennial favorite.
Avira Antivir (http://www.free-av.com/) has also received many kudos.

I use AVG Free. Works well. Not a resource hog like Norton.

I read a round-up report on anti-virus programs last year. AVG was one of the top rated ones and it's free to boot.
Can't go wrong with it.

My vote goes to Avast.
AVG is not as complete. Avast is more thorough. But it has a slightly larger over head. But well worth it.

Anyone know of a free AV that will run on Win 2003? Most free ones don't seem to support server now.

I run AOL Active Virus Sheild. Bear in mind, it is not AOL Crap, it is actaully made by Kaspersky, and its free too. :)
