Hey guys,
Just a heads up I recieved some pirated XBox 360 games from seller safcc. He said he was located in the U.S. and had no feedback, but seemed legit and fast to reply to PM's so I took a chance paying through PayPal for a few games. It took about 3 weeks to arrive, he wouldn't give me the tracking number either, and so a few days before it arrived I had placed a PayPal dispute. I did this because another buyer on the forums also reported he recieved the game he bought but it was in PAL format and shipped from Pakistan. A few days later (yesterday) I recieved my games adn they were also from Pakistan, and were clearly pirated. Bad cutting job, bad print quality and colors, and non-standard cases.
I haven't tried playing them and have no interested in doing so, but this is against the law, against the rules of the forum, and just plain wrong. I can pirate games myself if I wanted to, but I choose to buy to support the industry and to stay legal! Seriously, why should we be victimized by liars in Pakistan who ship out DVD printouts thinking we won't know the difference?
Anyways, I have laid it out that I will ship them back if I get a full refund. It's my loss for the shipping cost in being stupid in the first place and buying, and it would be his loss for shipping to me. If he doesn't refund, I'm simply keeping the PayPal dispute open. I would even think it better for him to pay ME to ship it back...
This is just a heads up, not just to look out for this seller, but others who may pull the same prank on you. I am usually good with checking for feedback, but this was just a good deal and he had posted on Hardforum etc. so I thought it should be legit.
Pics below, for a laugh and for the curious... notice the thin cases, the bad colors (xbox logo on top and the darness of the CoD 3 box), bad cutting, etc.:
