But i cant find anything in the manual.

Why don't you call their support line? I'm sure they can help you better than anyone here.

Yeah, calling their support line would be better... I've never encountered that type of error before.

ok i just got off the phone with Nintendo. I will have to mail the console in and wait for 7-14 days. I have to say i am quite disappointed. all my miis and game saves will be gone. and also gone are my 1500ish skill levels in all wiisport.
Be careful with your wiii!

I have the same problem with my wii, and have called Nintendo support. I got the same instruction from them like yours. Then I told them the Wii cannot be turned off, did you have the same problem? Support line instructed to hold down the power button on console for a while, so that it can be turned off. I did the same and it worked. After a while, I turned on the Wii again, and everything is back to normal (till now). The "system is corrupted..." warning still come up occasionally (may be once or twice a week), but can be fixed in the same manner - so I don't bother to send it back to Nintendo for now. (There is 15 month warranty on the console.)

That support line also told me that one of their repair centre is at Warden/ Steeles area (you can ask them for the address). If you take your console to them in person, they can fix it within a hour. Double-check with them.

Good luck and good health to your Wii.

How come they can't transfer the data? I've heard stories of other people's data being transferred but the Mii's were no longer editable.

ok i called again , but the guy couldnt find any other service center in ontario for me . and he said there is currently no repair center for wii . The place at warder/steeles , is it just for older system or u/your fds fixed your wii there?

and ya , if this is a common problem, we may need to think again whether to install modchips in the future. the wii is not as durable as i thought.

Too bad.

That Warden/ Steeles location is at Hood Rd. (cannot remember the street # though), Markham.

My Wii is all original, there's no modchip in it.

There is a NESA (Nintendo repair place) at Kennedy/Progress. I've taken my DS there several times to be fixed. Thing is, they don't do repairs they just do straight exchanges for refurbished products so I don't know if you will be able to keep your Miis, VC games etc.
