Margarita Venezuela?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking into planning a trip down to the Caribbeans and was told that Margarita is a pretty decent place. I've never been there and was wondering if anyone has and can share their experience...Thanks!

Our whole family went there about 2 years ago. We had a great time, we did the jeep tour, and went horseback riding. It was a good mix of people too some, families, some older, alot of singles 20-30yrs.

We stayed at Laguna Mar. Fantastic Resort.

I have been told Margarita Island is one of the most beautiful places in the World, thinking about going really soon also!!!!!!!

When I worked for an airline, we sent 25 couples down there. 22 were robbed the second they left the resort. I truly hope it has improved since. A good way to judge the safety of a destination is to see how many cruise ships stop there. If the cruise lines start getting complaints about crime and the local authorities don't do much, they just stop somewhere else. Cozumel Mexico is pretty good, I have been there a dozen times, walked home at night with zero problems. Good luck.

we were in Aruba and our flight stopped there to pick up people there. Everyone was complaining how crappy the hotel and trip was.. Wish I remembered more about it.
