Hi All,
Need help with planning a honeymoon to Greece for the summer (smack down the middle of the peak season). I know it's hot, expensive and crowded, unfortunately i can't postpone it.
Looking for recommendations on good and inexpensive hotels in Athens, Naxos and Santorini.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Went on my honeymoon in Crete.
It was alright! We stayed at a resort that's owned by Accor, the parent company of Novotel.

I highly recommend that you don't go cheap with this place. There is a HUGE difference between the best rooms/food and the bottom end ones.

Originally I was going to spend my 5 days bouncing around the islands...Now I'm thinking of skipping athens altogether and head to Mykono's, Santorini. Unfortunately from what I've heard, good and inexpensive hotels, especially in peak season are next to nil.
I'm currently looking at Anatasis Apartments (http://www.anastasisapartments.com/)in Santorini, some amazing views and pool overlooking the cliff. But its still in the 200€/night range...
Haven't got to Mykonos yet, haven't even got flight details down yet and I'm planning on a week in mid-may.
And I'm envious of some of those pics from the other threads...

I tried booking at Anastasis for a week at the end of May but they're fully booked. If you want anything at Anastasis, you really need to make up your mind fast because this place is really popular. I ended up booking at Esperas Traditional Houses.
For anyone planning to go during peak season, you better book in advance!

I emailed them and they have openings for all of 3 nights in May. The openings are a few days earlier than I originally planned to go, but I could prob pull a few favours and get time off work and just extend my trip a few extra days.
I just have to figure out how to get there :cheesygri ...direct flights into Santorini are outrageously expensive, but not to bad from Athens-Santorini...
