Hello,
http://www.senecac.on.ca/fulltime/FAC.html
I was wondering if anyone has done the Seneca Forensic Accounting Post-Gradtuate Diploma. I am asking becuase i am curious about the job prospects since demand for forensic accounting is doubling every year.

Also, i would like to know if anyone has done the Diploma in Investigative & Forensic Accounting (DIFA) program from rotman. http://www.rotman.utoronto.ca/difa/index.htm

There doesnt seem to be too many CA's have specializations.

actually, quite a few CAs have various titles after their name

i.e. CA.CBV, CA.CIA, CA.IT, CA.IFA

Very specialized area = can command higher rates. If you like that kind of investigative/fraud work, it could be very rewarding

Hello Charlie,

Thanks for the info.

[1] Can you please tell me how is DIFA looked at if you dont have a CA? I mean job prospects wise. I know for sure that forensic accountants are crazy in demand right now. I have way too many sources for this.

[2] One thing i dont understand is why they dont make it a masters?

[3] Also, is it seen as a strong and reputable program in the forensic world? There are honeslty some very serious online masters program in forensic accounting in the states, and they are seen as very valauble.

[4] Also, what do you think of the post-graduate seneca diploma. I know its "just a college" but we cant base all our ideas on that.

[5] Also, is forensic accounting eduaction country specific? For example, if someone did a masters in the states, would it still be helpful here?

Thanks for everything.

in the states, there is a professional designation in fraud examination. the CFE's, certified fraud examinator. they are in demands alright.

there is a post certification for CA's in Canada for forensic accounting.

The CFE has more recognition than the IFA because the CFE is well-recognized in the US instead of just in Canada.

Ya, its the CA-IFA , which you get from doing the DIFA.
