Just bought the second last one at my local Costco and the rep there said that they weren't getting any more of them??
Anyways, just wanted to start a discussion on this TV. Does anyone else have one? Is the TV made by Samsung? Any popular setting to improve pq?
Discuss! ;)

this tv is a piece of crap. I took mine back after a month, It developed black wavy lines using the tuners ota tuner or cable tuner. Clouding was apparent, vga is super washed out, dead/stuck pixels everywhere, the ota tuner is garbage i can only get 4 chans and i got 17 with my viewsonic 37", when using the xbox360 on vga, you cant even get the picture to display its native resolution and when using a pc it wont even go to the highest settings that the book says.
POOP
get into service mode you press
Display-1-1-Line
panel is LG

seems like the "rep" at costco tricked you. its selling online with free shipping. did u get it cheaper than $1650. because fs had the LG lcd same 42" for $1600 approx. it seems that lg may be dumping there NON standard panels to daytek. ohhh, it takes more than a week to know if you have a lemon. mines took 10 months...returned it to fs for full refund. that too was a NO name one...bought a samsung..hope it last longer. wishful thinking. lg has not had the best/clearest picture quality. their getting better. wonder if lg came out with 1080p panels yet.

This tv is *not* "Selling online with free shipping". It sells for $1649.99 "Shipping and Handling Included". The tv is $1599.99 in-store.

Futureshop had that LG on for 1699 plus tax
The Daytek is 1599 at Costco (in store) PLUS 2% back on the executive membership PLUS 1 year to return if I don't like it (FS warrenty would be at least $150)
Probably the best price on a 42" LCD around.
