Montreal Hotels & Stag Recommendations

About 10 of us (guys) are planning a trip to Montreal for a friends stag party. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel downtown. I have been looking at the Omni and it seems pretty good. The have a suite with a living room and 2 bedrooms for $550/night. Has anybody ever stayed there and how did you like it. We are looking for a hotel that has a large suite with ajoining room to it. We usually stay at the Novotel but they don't have any suites they only have regular room but we would like the suite so that we can party in it.

Sounds like you already made up your mind on the hotel. The Bonaventure Hilton has an outdoor heated pool that is fully functional during the winter.

Chez Paree, Wanda's, and Les Amazones for the men's club.

Crescent street is where all the trendy clubs are with many stags and bachelorette parties go on.

Stayed there just over a year ago and great hotel, highly recommend it. Close to just about everything, at least according to my plans.
Plugged in a random sat and they show a 2 bedroom suite (1 room with king bed, 2nd room with double bed and living room with a sofa bed as well as a fully equiped kitchen, including a refrigerator for all those beers) for $300.
I don't think they have adjoining 2 bedroom suites but you could probably get 2 rooms on the same floor, no problem. And, one room is probably big enough to party in.

I've stayed at the Omni several times and I enjoyed it. They also have an outdoor heated pool that is open year round, along with a nice (but small) health club with a good steam room. In the basement of the hotel is a chinese restaurant called Zen's which has a fixed price, all you can eat/order menu. It isn't cheap (around $30/person as of a 3or4 years ago), but the food is great and you can get as much as you want. Good idea to get a reservation though, especially if going with a large group.
