Mario Party 8 delayed…again?

There are multiple conflicting release dates for Mario Party 8.

Wii.Nintendo.com is still saying March 5th, 2007
IGN is still saying March 5th, 2007,
Nintendo.com is saying Q2 (April - June),
EBgames is saying June 1st, 2007,

Current speculation seems to suggest that the delay (If there is a delay) may be because the developers can re-work the game to have online capabilities.

At this moment this is only a rumor.

What do you think? Would you rather wait 3 more months for Online mode, or do you want to pick up the game in March?

I don't usually buy consoles, let alone games on release day. If this does have online capabilities, I will be the first in line.

My buddy who works at Futureshop says it is currently delayed until May. He said the Nintendo representative said that Nintendo wants more spotlight for the current party games like Rayman and the fairly recent Wario Ware.

Personally, I haven't heard about the game being online until this thread. I don't mind waiting considering there's been some good games released recently like SSX (which got 7.4 at Gamespot and 8.4 at Gametrailers) and Zelda on the Virtual Console.

They can delay it all they want. There's enough mini game junk on Wii as it is. I would like them to focus on getting Metroid, Mario and SSBB out cos I am really getting impatient.

I think it will come out on Oct or Nov 24 is make more sense, because from the past all mario party is coming out around that time. So keep waiting...
