Just wonderin, will Best Buy or Future Shop cancel your order if you mess something up on your ph # or address and then your credit card declines it....like how the Source was?

very very unlikely. TSCC has an absolutely antiquated online system, and is as dilapidated as their B&M stores are. their ordering system is just horrendous, to put it mildly. a lot of the back office stuff with TSCC is done manually, unlike FS/BB which is automated. The only reason FS/BB would potentially give you a hard time is if you attempted multiple orders. If not, you don't have to concern yourself.

there's a message saying someone will contact u to confirm your order with the billing phone number indicated. if i go change that to my cell phone number instead of my home phone (which was registered for my visa) will they cancel my order cause it doesnt' match???
<no one at home for them to call =.=>

are you guys talking about Wii console or Wii play?

I was using C4C to watch the Wii Console, how come it didn't work?

Thanks,

i was setting the C4C as pick up. Is that the reason why it was not alerting?
Is the console ship to home only?

I don't know about the C4C thing ^^" no idea how it work, but its gone pretty fast, in about less than 5 minutes all units are out =.=
I am pretty sure you can choose your shipping address~

noodlehed how do u know the system so well?

A mix of inside experience and many years of dealing with disappointment and anguish. Case in point -- had an issue with an apparent double-billing with TSCC, and to resolve the problem they ended up emailing a receipt for my online purchase...which was punched into a standard POS terminal. That is why there is no real-time inventory on TSCC as well...

good to hear. thanks.

np :)

I'm not sure which message you are referring to...did they contact you by email? Either way, I wouldn't be concerned, but I can perhaps give you better advice once I know what you are saying.

Is there anybody getting a Wii via "pick up in store" option in this wave of wii console release?
I think maybe "ship anywhere in canada" is the only option now?
Please advice.

Welcome to RFD :) Set as pickup? I'm not sure what you mean by that, unless there is an option I was missing. Didn't use C4C myself anyway, I always used the audio alert; just make sure you have quicktime installed, check with the 'test' button and ensure the checkbox is marked.

The console is shipped only, no ISPU if that is what you meant :D

Thank you. Probably that's why because no pick up in store option.
can you explain more on how to use the audio alert?

I order thru BB.. It on their "order status" page after i log into my account, which reads:
IMPORTANT: As part of our extended customer service you will receive a telephone call, at the number provided as your bill to phone number, providing further instruction to verify your order.

By the way, it says "in stock" now for my order, after first saying "out of stock" and "checking availability" hopefully i can get it!

yes, you are stuck paying for shipping no matter what. At least the charge is somewhat reasonable.

To enable audio alerts all you have to do is press the check box to the left of where it says "Enable audio alert for page changes". If you are unsure whether or not you have Quicktime installed, just press the "test alert" button located on the right side. Of course, make sure you have speakers plugged in and volume up ;) If you hear a sound it is working. Then, whenever there is a change on the page it will alert you by making a siren noise. Hopefully that all makes sense :)

I have never seen that on BB or FS before...either I've never noticed it, or it is an extra security measure to verify your order because they don't want a scalper picking up half their Wii's...

Either way, you shouldn't have an issue..at the very worst case scenario, just let them know that if they need further verification you can change your phone # registered with your CC company...that change would take <5 mins on the phone with them. Like I stated, they wont pull a TSCC on you :) Have fun with your new console :D

I don't know where is the check box. I guess you installed some plug-in in your browser. Is that true?

I am guessing that they are just doing it for the Wii or other limited stock items. I called them and figure out what's going on. This is what happenes, if you order thru credit card, they will need to speak with you on the phoneline you provided with your credit card company to verfied and process your order.

I called and verified my order, it's funny how i kept asking them if they really have it in stock and if its really gonna reserve it and ship to me. the girl on the other line was laughing.. ahah ops.. :cheesygri
