Try vancouver, you will probably have better luck find it in van rather than vic.
Too many students are huntting @ Vic while the supply is low due to the population.
ps: yes, there are even more ppl huntting for wii in van, but there are more supply... more supply = more chance... (correct me if I'm wrong... but it seems easier to get in van than vic from what I heard.)

I disagree. Victoria is far easier than Vancouver. How? Besides the anecdotal stories from a few people I've read around, there are no Wii scalpers on Craigslist Victoria but there are like 8 a day on Vancouver CL.
If supply in Vic was more limited, that would be prime target for scalping, but that is clearly not the case.

Well... not seeing scalpers on Craigslist Victoria doesnt mean there isnt any.
If you are a student at UVic or one of those private schools... You dont even need to post to sell for higher... ppl will come and ask to buy from you in few mins.
just my 2 cents...

I've been keeping an eye out on Vic CL - there were at least 2 that were only posted at $316-$320 (retail +4). Anecdotal evidence notwithstanding (search this very forum, Revscene.net), I firmly believe Victoria has it much easier

Maybe your are right, maybe i'm wrong...
But in fact, 3 of my friends (that's all of my Vic friends :P) who goes to UVic can never get hold of a Wii (since release date...) They told me ppl who are getting Wiis are either know friends work at EB/FS/TRU or lined up over 12 hrs. In fact, it's the same people who seems to have wii for sale on campus...
Anyway, long story short... they all finally managed to get their wiis by line up last Sat at TRU broadway. (Not long wait, they lined up for like 2-3 hrs before store opens.)
Wiis are easier to come by now... demand is still high... but not impossible anymore... good luck wiiible

With all the Wiis on FS/BBY.ca being released all the time, it should be quite simple to pick one up, even if it does cost $13 to ship

I'm in Victoria for the weekend and want to see where's a good chance to find a Wii on Sunday or Monday of this week?? My friend is looking for a Wii in Vancouver and keep not having enough luck...so hoping to see if Victoria might be easier to find one...if someone might have some good leads, that would be great!

No Wiis at Walmart (both locations), Toys R Us, HMV, and Future Shop (both locations) - EB Games at Hillside, Mayfair, and Bay Centre...
Most say their shipments don't come in til the Friday/Saturday...
Back to the search in Vancouver...

I went to EB Games last Thursday the clerk said comeback tomorrow. I went there the next day on Friday I saw a guy walking out of the store with a bag under his arm my stomach sank a bit. I said is that a Wii as I walked by and he said yep it's the last one. I said dude you're killing me and walked into the store.
Sure enough it was the last wii they got 5 in that day. That was about noon. The clerk said come back in a week. So yes Friday is probably the day at EB games. The local Future Shop gets their shipment between 12-4PM.
Good luck in your search.

Try Langford Walmart at noon tomorrow. Try EB games next to Langford Future Shop tomorrow at 10:30 AM February 23. I missed the last wii at EB games last Friday just before 12:00PM. I picked up a "Wii Play" at superstore yesterday just down the road from Walmart in Langford.

Being lazy and not wanting to line up at 6/7am in Vancouver for a Wii at Toys R Us, is there normally a line up in Victoria for a wii when they arrive at Toys R Us or Zellers?
I am hoping when I go to Victoria the Easter Weekend to find one, but probably fat chance during a holiday. If anybody knows any "insider" news, please PM me. Thanks!
