None of the coupon codes work for me though. Do I need to have a Dell account for this to work?

in the other thread about the Scratch and Save deals...
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=406020
there are many coupon codes for $20 off $50,
so the total price for these USB drives is $18 (plus tax) for two!
if you're lucky you can find a $30 off $50 and get two for $8 :cheesygri

So basically, you're telling me that I need to buy at least two in order to use any of the coupons? If so, then the title of this thread is misleading.

Actually, this thread's original deal is that the USB drive is on sale for $19, regular priced at $29
BUT with Dell's scratch and save you can get coupons for $10,$20,$30 or $40 off any purchase of $50 or more,
and since the regular price of the USB drive is $29, you need two of them in order to make the total price over $50, in order to use one of the coupon codes

Its basically a protocol to make programs run directly off of one of these USB drives so that you don't have to install the application on the computer you are using it on. Perfect for on-the-go situation and for confidential info on the stick as proggies on the stick can also protect data on it.

How can you buy 2 to use the coupon? It's $19 only and 2 for $38, you need
3 to use the $ off $50 coupons.
Any hints?

Those coupon applies to the regular price before the Dell discount. So `counts as $29 each. So you only need to buy 2 to apply the coupon. No trickery or anything. :)

I have tried every which way to apply these codes and can't stack the codes and I can't apply the code to the cart unless the price being charged is over $50. The best I can do is to buy 3 usb drives for $58 and then get $10 off. Not a good enough deal for me. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of orders get rejected soon. I can't count how many great deals I have found at Dell, only to have them rejected later.
Good luck to everyone who is getting the deals though.

it seems like Dell had fixed the error that the coupon can only be applied with the actual discounted price. I just tried to use a coupon on 2 USB sticks and it won't work now. But the order that I put through earlier in the day (2 Kingston USB keys at $39 total, then $30 off) went through without problem and got a confirmation as well. Dell will probably cancel that then

How the hell did you guys get it for 8 bucks?

Don't work anymore... they fixed it... coupon code applies to the sale price and not the original/regular price now... just tried it... damn... missed it. Could have gotten the flash drive for like $5 bucks with my $30 coupon.

I just made a post before yours. That should explain it (it was Dell's error earlier in the day that the coupon can be applied based on the regular price instead of the sales price. Now they seem to have fixed the error). I got in on the deal just in time to get 2 USB keys for $8+taxes. See if it'll get cancelled though

Yeah, unfortunately for others, that doesn't work anymore.
