Awesome deal! Ordered 2. For those that don't know already, each version of Guild Wars stands alone, meaning that this isn't an expansion pack of the previous games, and no monthly fee. This is also CE... I would've even bought it at the same price for the regular Nightfall!

I just looked at this the other day at Walmart (non-collectors) and it was $48 so this is a great deal. I haven't picked it up yet so I decided to order now, $19.99 is a fantastic price. I haven't got Factions yet either, will have to try and find it I guess. I added a WOW 60 day card for $26.99 (great deal) so I could get free shipping. I just starting play WOW (still on 10 day trial) and will be upgrading to full account this week, so I'll need this card in 30 days anyway.

It's an awesome series of games, it is cheap now as GW factions has been out for almost a year now and Nightfall is out since Oct 06.

I have both the original (Prophecies) and Factions and they are both great games.

Just picked up 2 copies for myself and a friend as well.

Factions and Nightfall are both stand alone games if you haven't play GW before. They are not expansion. Just each game gives players different skills and character classes.

I pre-ordered the standard edition of Nightfall for $35.99 back in October (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=354014) and it was a good deal back then!

This is just superb, grabbed 2. Will probably upgrade my account with one copy of Nightfall CE, and keep the other one handy for a gift. Now if I can only get Factions CE for cheap too... :D

Is Nightfall any different from Factions/Prophecies? Other than new character classes? I have both Prophecies and Factions, and admittedly, I didn't enjoy either of them. It was too restricted compared to WoW and I had a hard time converting. This is a great deal though, should I give it another shot?

Nightfall is different in that it has "Heroes" - heroes are NPCs that join your party (sort of like henchman), except that unlik ehenchman they level up on their own and have their own items / equipment / skills etc. You don't control any of their actions, but you do have to buy them equipment, etc, to keep them competitive.

You also can't do certain quests unless you have the right hero in your party.

IMO the Heroes aspect makes Nightfall a much better game than either of the first two. I own Prophesies, only did a trial of actions and didn't buy it. I am very happy with nightfall though.

I own the original GuildWars (prophecies is it?) and I found it fun for a little while but totally hated the henchmen for their dumber-than-rocks AI. I hope the "heroes" in Nightfall are a big improvement, because I ordered 2 copies on an impulse purchase this morning :cheesygri

Futureshop will price match nightfall at 19.99 and factions at 14.99. My roomate was able to get the both games for him and myself as well. He says they where really nice and it didn't take long at all. He got it at the FS that's beside SFU in surrey.

I picked up Factions yesterday for $15+tax at BB. I didn't have any trouble getting a price match. I had printed out the web page and after pointing out the $15 price I was on my way. I had stopped at staples first but they wanted to charge the $13-14 more for shipping. I think I spent more time waiting for the couple in front of me to buy a Wii than I did actually doing the price match.

I was lucky enough to get it through amazon...but why would they PM simply on the grounds that you have a (photocopied) receipt of a prior PM? I never understood that reasoning...they could just state that it's OOS at amazon.ca now and you'd be powerless to do anything.

So I swung by my local BB/FS to try to PM. No such luck.

The BB CSR charged me the $11 overnight shipping but also gave me $6 in PM, so it came out to $25 before taxes. However, watching her struggle to subtract 6 from 31 floored me, so I left.

The FS CSR claimed they didn't do online retailers. She pulled out the policy and said amazon.ca was a "mail-order offer." It was a load of BS, but I didn't feel like arguing with her and left.

So YMMV, I guess.

Instead of cancel the order manually, I emailed basically saying "wtf I ordered two weeks ago and it is just now cancelled? Either ship the whole order, or cancel the whole order."

And this is basically their reply: Because you are angry and removing that item actually increased your shipping fee, you now have free and express shipping.

Great. Free shipping on the stuff I added just to get cheaper shipping. I check the order to cancel it, and in the time it took them to RESPOND TO MY EMAIL ASKING TO CANCEL THE ORDER, the order I don't actually want has already started shipping.

Yeah, the continuation of the story is that they replied to my reply and suggested re-ordering and re-emailing them to get the price put down to $19.99. Hopefully this one doesn't get canceled. They also suggested not accepting / return-to-sender'ing DESCENT 3 to refund it. I think I might keep it though, frame it, and then hit myself in the head with it
