These M-series works great on my MIO for video...no skips or slow downs, jumping forward or back isn't a problem too...I bought them for $54.99 too in the first week of January. >:(

Read speed is never going to be a problem with any SD card, even for video playback. Video recording is another matter, but devices like the Mio GPS don't record video, so not a big concern.

Someone recently did an extensive test on the read/write speeds of various 4GB SD cards which I think was posted somewhere here on RFD, but I can't find the link now.

BTW, you might want to check out this page about compatibility with SD card readers as well: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/accessories/4gb-sd.shtml

if your writing to this card you will find that it is very slow.. it seems to have a slow write/fast read.

I took mine back because it was soooo slow writing.. probably around 10x in my opinion maybe less..

Which is faster, the KingMax or the Transcend?

just bought the Kingmax today, and boy is it slow... I'm trying to copy 1GB of data from old card onto the new 4GB card and its taking like 15 minutes. Is the return policy only exchange, no refunds at CC?

depend on how do you use it
if you use it on a Card reader then it will give you better speed
but if you using camera or Mio to transfer file then it will take for ever
i transfer 4GB in just 5-10 mins but if i use my Mio it take forever

I stay away from Kingmax..sure its cheap...but for how long? My friend had their usb drive thing that was the size of a half piece of chewing gum and it broke in less then a week (because he accidently sat on it).

they will give you money back minus a restocking fee..

even after the 7 day return policy i got them to take that card back.. their website shows 15.4MB/sec (Max.) write speed.. which is no where near how slow this card writes.

Old thread, I know, but I thought I might jump on the bandwagon. CC is selling these for $29.99 now, but their link now calls this an SDHC card. Can anyone confirm this or not? I'm getting a new digital camera (Canon SD850 IS) that supports SDHC cards, but my card reader doesn't. If this is a plain vanilla SD card I might be interested, but only if it works in my camera too (I've heard that some 4gb non-HC SD cards are incompatible with digicams). Any thoughts guys?
