Hagbard, have you become some kind of self-appointed RFD Mac ambassador? This is pretty off-topic as well.
Try this one on for size. Safari 2.0.4(419.3) crashes more often than IE6. Ha!
That said, I still prefer OS X over XP.

This Ad is well done.

Don't see what the fuss is. MS doesn't seem to care about these ads, because they know (and Apples knows) who is #1. You never see #1 compare themselves to the others in commercials.
The "peripherals" joke is funny though :).

Sorry, but the fact that the ads get PC weenies' panties in a knot, that the illustrator took the time to produce that unfunny comic, and that you posted in this thread proves otherwise.

Whether the comic is funny or not is a matter of opinion. Just like if you find the original Mac ad funny, it's just your opinion.
Apple products are well designed and well marketed, but I don't like the fact that Apple poke fun at the PC in an attempt to hide its limitations and shortcomings.
The ad (or the comic) did not alter my opinion regarding Macs/PCs. I will do my own research and decide what's best for me, thanks.

Great ad! The reason it's so funny is that this new Vista security feature is a lame copy of the Mac protection, but Microsoft went overboard and turned it into a negative user experience (compared to the Mac security popups).

heh, I actually find that one pretty funny. I'm not having any issues with Vista but I'm still running RC1 so perhaps it wasn't entirely implemented yet?

The Security is one of the best! Saw it last night. LOL
I switched to iMac but still use XP Pro/Bootcamp.

You post a lot of Mac related threads. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it has been my observation.
milhause, now this guy just evangelizes about the Mac any chance he gets. Search his name + Apple and you'll see.

I like gaming ---> windows xp
and do software development --> linux, IBM AIX
in OSX you pretty much have to hack the kernel to do anything useful.
It's good for old people, young kids and n00bs who need to be sheltered from screwing up the system.

The fact that you took the time to make that response says the same of you.

You're obviously someone who doesn't actually read what people post, but assume if they post something about "X" they must be "evangelizing" about it. You confuse observing, and a bit of poking fun (both ways) with advocacy. For the record, I personally prefer PCs to Macs, but I greatly dislike MS and their authoritarian ways. Not that Apple isn't authoritarian in their own way.

I still don't get the last one about PC upgrading for Vista. sure it can be a pain upgrading to a new OS might have to get some new components. at least you don't have to buy a whole new mac for 2x the cost of a PC

Illogical.
You don't need to buy a new Mac for every OS update either.

Well, seeing as how the mac is not 2x the cost of a PC, your logic still seems a bit odd.
