Issue has been resolved. He finally sent me the game that he promised me earlier in January 2007. I did receive an apology which I accept as sincere. It takes a man to come clean and he did so.

Heres the funny thing about cheques... the account they are deposited into can be traced. Even if he has gone through MoneyMart, they will require ID in the case that someone cashes a cheque fraudulently. I say, forget waiting, if he hasn't responded yet, I'd report him. I was scammed in the past for close to $200... the 'scammer' has been arrested since, so I feel a bit better.
