what's on your contract, in features (minutes) and how much does it cost?
Also would you be able to switch it to a different area code?

Right now the plan is a student one, but you can change it at anytime and choose from any of the current plans on the Telus website. I would prefer to deal locally, but to answer your question, yes, you can change area codes. I think because of the transfer, a number change will be free. Any changes after that will cost $10 if it's within the same region.
