from all my days in school, i can say i know about 12 "pole engineers" :cheesygri pretty well.

Well nobody specifically said that. And you'll care when you leave Canada for my neck of the woods. You'll never be able to fairly compare Canadian Unviersities again(btw, Miami sucks, it's a thug U. and the girls down there while hot are extremely shallow) BTW it sounds like Waterloo is the same as Georgia Tech and that's a nerd school where the male/female population is about 70/30 and what women are around are not attractive compared to at other schools. Wow..... I live on campus and i must say thats not even close. I guess in a way its safe to say for every hot girl there are 2/3 normal or unappealing ones but in my class of 18 in one course there are 5 girls for every one guy. So essentially there is one to two hot girls for each guy if everything worked out perfectly. This goes for most classes too there are many more girls to guys in ratio.

I was in both Math and Arts, and I also took a whole bunch of courses at WLU.

WLU (any faculty) has both Math and Arts beat down pat. In terms of chicks, the only real diff between Arts and Math is the % distribution of girls vs guys, Arts has a much higher % of girls (like 55/45 vs 20/80 LOL). But the quality is about the same. :lol: They're also of a different ethnic background, which might be an issue for some people, though not for me since I'm a firm believer in equal opportunity. :lol:

The hotter they are, less likely they are smart ;) Hence, uoft does not have hot chicks, i graduated from there, maybe a very few in arts&sci. York, yes they are a small population of hot chicks there, i go there part time, but I think people are confused with what is hot lol. My personal experience with U of T is basically boredom.

In the harshest terms you only see three types of girls

1. Hipster Asian (usually very uptight, cliquey)
2. Traditional Asian (very quiet, shy, pretty fresh off...)
3. Stand-out white girl (usually sticks to the white guys)

Asian girls include, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc etc.

Here's my take on the programs:

Engineering: many guys, few girls. The girls tend to be nerdier too. Applies to all uni.

Arts: Not a practical field. Generally only taken by dumb people and the party type. There's also the odd person who reall really likes art and she might be cute.

Business/commerce: good girl to guy ratio. about 60-40 is a good estimate. Usually a few good girls in these programs at any school.

Math/comp sci: See engineering. From my exp, it's worst than engineering. Girls simply don't like comp sci. And math...I don't need to say it lol.

Humanities (history, gender, politics etc): From personal experience, this is where all the sensitive people are. They tend to have a strong opinion on society and thinks the world gives a damn. The true feminist types are scary and guys stay a couple light years from them. Humanities has less fobs, probably because fobs don't want to write essays.

The better the engineering/math/comp sci programs, the less likely you'll find hot girls. This explains UofT and UW. York is pretty easy to get into.

Here's my take on the programs:

Engineering: many guys, few girls. The girls tend to be nerdier too. Applies to all uni.

Arts: Not a practical field. Generally only taken by dumb people and the party type. There's also the odd person who reall really likes art and she might be cute.

Business/commerce: good girl to guy ratio. about 60-40 is a good estimate. Usually a few good girls in these programs at any school.

Math/comp sci: See engineering. From my exp, it's worst than engineering. Girls simply don't like comp sci. And math...I don't need to say it lol.

Humanities (history, gender, politics etc): From personal experience, this is where all the sensitive people are. They tend to have a strong opinion on society and thinks the world gives a damn. The true feminist types are scary and guys stay a couple light years from them. Humanities has less fobs, probably because fobs don't want to write essays.

The better the engineering/math/comp sci programs, the less likely you'll find hot girls. This explains UofT and UW. York is pretty easy to get into.

Or perhaps because they can't.

I would advice anyone not use to reading scientific literature, to look at specific result within the scope of the study itself and not make overly ambitious conclusions. It is very easy to get misled by research if you are not familiar with the context and background material.
