How to adjust a headphone cord

Hey i just recently bought new headphones . As you all might know, some headphones , one side is longer than the other indicating that you have put the longer side around your neck. I want to make the sides equal but its seems impossible to adjust it. Does anyone here know how. Thanks

The whole idea is to put it behind your neck. Heck I prefer it that way, and do not understand why a lot of headphones in North America are sold otherwise. That was my biggest pet peeve with the stock ipod buds right from the start.

take the one thats longer fold it to the length of the other one and tape it with electrical tape or duct tape
