with dell tech support for almost 45 minutes and no real person yet. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: i just wanted to vent.

Been there - done that. Got a free printer out of it (it sure helped my argument at least.) Do NOT waffle on your terms - be firm but polite.

omg, the music makes me want to kill puppies, i think they do it to aggravate you enough to hang up and not waste there money with our silly questions...

a trick i do, is i try and get to the sales dep, usually they are the same people as tech.
with the automated prompts, just tell them u want to buy soemthing, and theres a CSR withing minutes

I wanted to order a BA trip with my gf last year.....
Waited for 45 minutes after the first call got cut....and well......the call centre closed after that ....what a bummer.

If you're calling Dell Canada, go to the French queue. Then asked if they speak English. It's a fast way to get through and it's worth a shot.

tried the french route... didnt help, now i have both going onhold on two lines.....
tried the sales route, all i got is a sorry apologetic salesperson saying that she couldn't skip the queue....... man they are fast to get on the phone for sales.... lol
