How's this a hot deal?

Same as half the other posts in the hot deals section now. People's idea of a hot deal nowadays is just being able to get something at retail price.

meh why would anyone get a high end dx9 card when you could get a much faster Dx10 ready card for a bit more

That's right, sometimes only the fact that something is very "limited ed." or scarce, very hard to find, can make it a HOT deal, how can something be a HOT deal even at 0.99 if you're not able to find it anywhere?... did you already forget the Gazillion posts of Wii's & PS3's (that have never been on sale btw)... !?!?!

Don't forget that there's 2 cards in there...

Über
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

The title of this article contains the character ü. Where it is unavailable or not desired,
the name may be represented as ueber.
The word über (German pronunciation (help·info)) comes from the German language.
It is a cognate of both Latin super and Greek ύπερ (hyper),
as well as English over (as in "overkill").
During the 2000's, über also became a synonym for super;
e.g. übercool = supercool, generally with a slightly intensified meaning.
Über is commonly written as uber in English, though with slightly different meaning.

I'd buy one just for the spy briefcase. I need one, being a spy and all.

I moved it. In order to be a hot deal thread, even if it's something that's hard to get at retail prices, you at least need to post where you can buy it from. This is a discussion to me.

The funny thing is that at $899 its not that bad a retail price for those cards. $450 for an 1950 xtx is a pretty good, and that does not include the uber case.

dbcooper

exactly. It's selling for below retail price even excluding the additional goodies like the mousepad, signed certificate, etc.

...don't see how putting it in the BST: comp hardware, software category makes any more sense

Sorry, it's called "Uber" in reference to the old school hackers, or gamers that will buy this.

Also if you'll notice, elite is not spelled "l33t".

I know it's confusing, but there's no need to hate, and especially less need if you're wrong in hating.
