Sold out at:
Yonge/Eglinton
Keele/St. Clair

I managed to get a couple of spindles on hold for me at the downtown store.
According to the associate on the phone, they still have "a few" as of 1pm

I am not surprise they are on clearance, I bought a spindle of +R at the same price a few months back, Benq 1640 with Nero quality scan was about 92% when it was burnt at 4X (too much error if burnt at 8X) but I scanned some of them again a week ago and it dropped to below 80% (most near the end of the disk) IMO if you don't burn them over 4GB, it should be fine for a year or two at the most.

Dataware? So the deal is FS will pay you $14.99 to get 100 of them, right? Please be more clear, else people might think they have to pay for them.

is there a newbie guide out there on how to use these scans and how to read the results?

It means they are crap and won't likely work a year from now.

Stick to authentic TYs ( Taiyo Yudens ) or Verbatims.

Hmm, online stock shows it is available at Lansdowne in Richmond, but I went there earlier and didn't see any Dataware DVD's whatsoever...

I went downtown to pick up my 2 spindles...
they didn't have the single 100's, which they said they did when i called earlier...but they had the 200-pack which was just 2x 100's spindles packaged together,
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10069540&catid=12501
so that's what they gave me for $30.
i don't care if they're crap...most of them will be stuff that i give away to other people anyway

I tried a spindle a few months ago and my 1640 had trouble burning them. My burner seemed to produce more coasters than working discs.

Has the mid changed recently?

I'd highly recommend this if you're just burning p*rn to your worst friends.

Otherwise, if you do not want to end up asking DATAWHERE 6 months later, you're better off going for good brands.

To perform a quality scan, please use Nero CD DVD Speed 4.7.x.x or DVDInfoPro.

Someone should take a marker, go to FS, and write that on the spindle.

yes they're crap but what i was trying to point out was that they have fake TY MID code on them.
