used to work at superstore. They have the infrastructure to change prices twice a day. In fact it's common practice and happens pretty much everyday. For the electronics dept price changes during the day usually only happen on the weekend where as in the food section, prices usually change twice a day.

If you pay attention prices on all products always fluctuates +- 10%

Superstore im Kamloops had one of these open box a couple of weeks ago. I was told 49.99 with 10% off if I wanted it. I almost did but decided not to. They may still have it?

I picked up 4 Durabrand players from a Wal-mart Superstore grand opening late last year. They were normally 99, on for 54 bucks. I kept 2 and handed out 2 as gifts. Anyway, to my surprise, the damn thing plays every type of disc I throw at it, AND it plays DivX and Xvid. I only found this out by accident, as the players are not certified.

Anyway, my point is that the only difference between the Durabrands and these is the card reader slot (which is a great feature), and that they often go on sale at wal-mart. Keep your eyes peeled for a sale and pick one up.

Any tips on the best time of day/week to go shopping for groceries at Superstore to hit the lower grocery prices?

I believe there was a Toshiba 7" Portable DVD player that went for $49.99 during boxing week 2006 at RCSS
This must be the leftover stock from those days

Most likely...I would have almost paid full price for it!..I know there are other portables out there, but it probably was the nicest one i could get with PC points....all the remaining portables are junky brands

Anybody out there that will sell it to me for $100??
