My Promise SATA300 TX4 adaptor hangs the bootup process while detecting drives.
If I don't connect the drive, the card reports "Bios not installed" and then let's the PC complete the bootup, and the PC still works.
I took it in and the techs showed me that it worked fine on their PC.
So my question is what is corrupted and how can I repair it?
I did find drivers for the bios and Windows, but I can't seem to update either.
What should I do?
