I do not really mean out of date, because for $200, it is not obsolete.
My question is this card worth the money? I know it is no longer top of the line, but will it handle some of the hottest games that will come out this year?

Someone in the BST is selling a 7800GT for $169.
This card is average.

This is the Fatal1ty edition, so it is super-souped up compared to the others of this series. Compare the clock speeds of 2 from this series.

Not worth it. You can get 7900 GS cards for less that will still easily beat this thing.
eg: http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html?modelx=33&model1=529&model2=584&chart=198
In this case, the 7900 GS does 60.6 fps, the 7600 GT does 42 fps @ 560MHz. Even at 650MHz, the 7900GS would still be a faster card.
The only reason to go for this card is the looks and silence of that passive heatpipe, don't buy it for the performance, at least not for $229.

7600gt is an ok card. you'll be able to all the games out there and future ones, only you'll have to comprise (i.e. lower resolution and/or reduce the graphic detail).
only thing i would suggest is not to pay extra for the lame 'fatality' marketing and don't buy from tigerdirect. shop at direct canada/ncix first.

For that money, you can easily get a 7900 which is nearly 2x as good as the 7600

These Fatal1ty gimmicks get old quick. $200+ for a 7600GT? What a rip.

the volt mod is really something to consider. With it you get a 7900GTX with half the ram... which is still pretty fuxxing crazy if you don't play at high resolutions.

I am not interested in buying it, I was just asking a question. By the way, it is not posted as a "Fatal1ty" product as a website anymore, so I guess you can call it "out of date".
By the way, can you use an ATI graphic card on a motherboard which uses an nVidia chipset? And what's up with volt rails? Where can i buy them if they do not come with the card?

Volt rails are not something you buy. They're the lines which supply the power to components in your system from the power supply. When volt rails are mentioned, you should check the side of your power supply to see if it has enough juice to run the component (which in this case is a video card).
