For those who didn't know, Dell provides consumer access to a hidden service menu providing more advanced information and settings, such as the full model number, monitor chip-set, total time used and advanced color options. This menu can be accessed as follows:
1. Powering off your screen
2. Holding down MENU and + buttons while powering it on
3. Release those buttons and enter the MENU
4. Select FACTORY RESET
5. Scroll down to FACTORY
Now, who knows what all the settings in there mean? :)
Auto Color
Clear User Area
Sub-B
Sub-C
Offset 1
Offset 2
Gain
R, No
R, Val
W?
A
P
I've also noticed that according to Dell's specs, the sync polarity for 1680x1050 should be +/+, but according to the Advanced Timing settings section of the Nvidia control panel, it's set to +/-. Should I change this?
Much obliged,
JAC
