I have a pretty good premium with my insurance company. Im 23, and I pay $2150 for a 2006 Golf TDI GLS including 2 year no depreciation.
now my question is, my insurace broker wants me to purchase premium protection, so if for some reason i get into an accident, my "rate" is protected, its around $100..
A couple of my friends have been in accidents over the years, and since they are under 25 (like myself) the insurance company drops them and they have to go directly to facility. So is this really worth it if im under 25..

Depends on how likely you are to have an accident. If you haven't had one ever then statisically there's one in your future in the next 5 years assuming you drive every day.
There are a lot of factors to consider, but $100 a year is pretty cheap for a "freebie".

Being under 25, your premium will skyrocket after 1 at fault accident. $100 premium I think is worth the protection. Once you turn 25 and still accident free, you can probably buy yhe same protection for about $30.

That is a pretty good rate for being 23. I am 21 and cheapest I can find for myself on a 2006 Mazda Tribute AWD is usually around the $4000 mark. I think paying $100 to put your premium in store may be worth while... On a side note who is your insurer and do you have any specific discounts or anything special to get that price?
