I too am looking for this. I bought Quicktax Std. last year for $24.99 CAD shipped from Ebay and it was legit.

Hope I can find another deal, and if I do, I will post it here.

Go with TaxWiz - about 20 bucks. I have a complicated return and it worked just fine last year. I always got corrections back from CCRA with QuickTax, but not with TaxWiz.
Don't hold me to this but I think it is produced by Quicken as well.

It is discouraging that there is no one willing to compete on price to win our business.

Quicktax Standard is priced at $39 (+/- $1) everywhere in Canada. Surely there have to be deals somewhere.

I looked at QuickTaxWeb, which looked initially appealing, until I realized the price was for each return. QuickTax Standard allows one to submit 5 returns. Both are free for returns under $20,000, but I file four returns over that amount every year. As QuickTax imports the return from the previous year, it expedites completion of the current year's return, so I am loathe to switch to another product.

We need some healthy competition in pricing for QuickTax.

I went to the Intuit website for quicktax. Is the download version of the program $29.99 as opposed to the $39.99 amount charged at the retailers? Is there any reason to not just download the program and save the $10 if you have used it in past years?

That URL speaks to the $29.99 offer being available for those upgrading from taxwiz. I I've never had taxwiz can I still buy it at the lower price or do they validate at some point?

I had quicktax last year and I just upgraded via a download for $29.99 and it works fine :) . I was thinking $39.99 was too much to pay, and I am glad I found this download and it works even for old quicktax users!
