Hi, im loooking for a digital camera. I'm going to my country this monday and i have to buy one for a gift. So i cannot buy it online because of shipping time. I would like a 4MP +, optical zoom 3X+, Canon, KODAK, HP etc... known brands.

If some1 can point me out, it would be really nice
BTW, it has to be in the MTL area, or at canadian superstores (FS,BB,Staples etc..)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!!

Time to start shopping around...

4MP, Optical Zoom 3x @ $150..... you should be able to get that anywhere now. I mean you can buy 6MP brand name cameras for under $150 now.

Basically, start visiting stores and see for yourself what you can get.

i saw the kodak C643 at staples for 137$ seems a good deal, but the reviews on the net are not so fantastic tho

Well for what you are asking for.... You can get a Canon or Sony for that price.

Shop around, that's the only way you are going to find something.

That's not that great a camera... RFDers can do better! Don't forget, you need to get a memory card for any camera, so add that onto your costs. SD cards are no doubt the cheapest while memory stick duos are the more expensive cards... the super small cards like microSD, m2, etc are the most expensive.

Wait, I'm rethinking that... 2.5" screen (or close to it) and 6MP, that's a decent camera

Here's what you do:

Print out that Source flyer page or interne page and present it at futureshop (print this out):

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10078069&catid=

And then get it for a bit less than $139 + you get a case. :D Then, spend some money for a 1 or 2Gb memory stick duo... 2GB sticks are around $50-60 while 1GB sticks should be around $30-40

EDIT: I looked on FS.ca and no memory sticks are on sale... that means overpriced memory... it's currently $59 for a 1GB stick! Memory sticks are a lot more than SD cards aren't they :( You can easily get a 1GB stick for $20 nowadays.

I was wondering where you could get a better deal than that, on a 6MP!
You could 'PM Futureshop, Best Buy or Staples, they all carry that Model @ $199.99. I have one and it is Good.:)
You are looking at $50+ for 1GB Memory Stick Pro Dou.

yeah! that seems to be a good deal for the MS. I might grab also one for my PSP. But as I said, I'll be gone in 2 days, so i cannot order it. But I might send it by mail later, shipping for memory cards is inexpensive

You're better off waiting for a sale if you're in no rush... You can get 2GB for 60... much better choice for your PSP.

I also saw the 4GB are dropping dramatically,
