I was recenlty looking for a Honda Accord 4 Door. I was looking at the 1999's Generation ones. I was looking for a Honda Accord in that generation, doesnt have to be that same year, 4 door, V6, Standard. I looked everywhere and no one seems to have that specific type. They have all the other types available EXCEPT a 4 Door, V6, Manaul Transmission. They have a V6 version of the 2 door coupe. How come not the 4 door sedan. Theres 4 door V6's, but the ones i found are all automatic transmission.

Thanks

The V6 models in the 6th generation only came equipped with automatic transmissions.

Honda does not offer manual on V6 Accords until 2007. If you want manual for this size of vehicle try Mazda 6, Nissan Altima and Maxima.

For 2007 Accord you can get an EX V6 with 6 speed transmission. However this would probably be rare.

To OP,

Sorry to be Off Topic. I just noticed your nickname "ralliart123" and are looking for a accord.

I just find it kinda funny that I actually drive a ralliart and the other car we own that my wife drives is an accord!! What a coincidence!

Yes all is true the 6th generation accords in the v6 came as automatics. years 1998-2002.

But the problem is the v6 with the auto transmissions in this generation are really bad. Many i mean MANY have failed around 100-120K mark and need to be replaced. My buddy's just was replaced under 100K.

Why not just get the 4cyl 5spd its a lot of fun to drive plus you'll save money a bit on guess. But the v6 is sure as hell punchy.....

I have a 2000 Accord 4 door w/5spd in incredible shape except a crack on windshield and a few small rock chips on the front fascia that the wife is toying getting rid of as we hardly ever drive it. Always garage kept and adult, lady driven.

It has 55K original KMs. If you are interested, keep in mind I live in Alberta. I'll ask her if she is seriously interested in getting rid of it (it's more her car).

Not for V6 4-door sedan, which is what the OP is looking for.

SO the 2003 models are the only generation that is V6 and comes standard with a manual?? I drove my friends 4 cylinder accord (same generation i wanted) and it was an auto. Fun to drive, but since its automatic, don`t you lose a lot of power through the torque converter. The Torque converter is this ......"thing" that just spins fluid and therefore spin the axles to wheels, rite. This is pretty general, but you get what I'm talking about. LOl. Anyways, back to my question...Would the 4 cylinder, manual, accord be more powerful then the automatic 4 cylinder?

I want a Accord in THAT generation probably because I think it looks pretty attractive. LOL. In my opinion, i think it looks better then all the other generations so far. So i might be thinking about a 4 cylinder manual now instead of a V6 manual (since it doesn`t exist).

You know why "ralliart123" is driving a Accord instead of a Lancer.....Well, lets put it this way. The Evo`s not coming to Canada anytime soon.....I think....I mite get a Ralliart for my wife when i get a wife. HAHahaha

Thanks for all your replys.

Why not get a 2003 coupe, it comes with V6 + 6 Speed.

Yes, theoretically the 5spd 4-cylinder is faster in a sense then the auto 4-cylinder accord. You pretty much got it about the torque converter. If you had a 5spd and auto side by side in a race...the 5spd should win unless the driver sucks at shifting or whatever.

I dont know why. It might be because i like how the 1999 Generation looks. I think it looks better. I think that all. The 2003 ones look to bubbly.
