I tried stacking them on a $300 purchase and surprisingly it seems to work. I still have the item in my cart and ready to process the credit card info

I read somewhere that to be stackable, the first seven digits need to be different

does it mean that my order will be rejected if I proceed?

i think they just wanna discourage ppl f/ stacking multiple coupons (esp. against those w/ "identical" codes), ....they'll allow 2+ codes as long as 1st 5 digits prefix is diff.

You can't just walk into the store with a 16 digit code written down on a piece of paper and expect them to accept it. They scan the bar code that comes with the coupon. Besides, that code was probably already used by someone else before you even walked out the door.

I think this happens at least once in every 10 posts...someone thinks they have won the lottery by stacking 2 or more 20 off 150 coupons with the same first 5 digits, then are utterly shocked, confused, and angry when Staples rejects their order, but "the web site accepted their order".

Correct - the only limitation is that these are one-use codes.

There's absolutely no difference between providing the first five digits of a $20 or $30 coupons (like a number of posters have done,) and providing the same info for a $50 coupon. There's lots of other coupon sites sharing this info and it makes sense to check others if you need a code.

Sorry I don't have the start of the number, I only got a $30 myself. That's 74144. I repeat 74144 . Good luck Googling.

I was unable to use just the coupon number when I bought something. I suppose it depends on the cashier. If you read at the beginning of this thread, it does actually say that they cannot be used in-store -- you need to have the actual coupon with bar code for in-store use. I suppose YMMV though.

The code has to be in their database... so you can't just generate coupons. I used mine fine in store.

When most newbie's register, they don't contribute anything to the forum but they seem to expect the red carpet to be laid out for them when it comes to requests. It simply doesn't work that way. If you want something you have to be willing to offer something up in return. That something doesn't have to be a hot deal. Take a look at all the other other categories that RFD offers and if you know something that could help others, then post it. RFD has an entertainment, automotive, sports, entrepreneur, parenting, electronics, etc sections. Surely, you must have some knowledge in these areas that you can contribute to RFD. Once ppl start to see that you are getting involved in the forums, then ppl will be more likely to help you out.

Very well defended. I was Googling "reviews" for the office chairs that are on sale at Staples right now and some of the hits were from this website. One of them was for the coupons available. So like everybody else, I asked. After the first day and no PM I realized I wasn't going to get a code that way so I signed up for the Staples newsletter and now I wait patiently. I don't expect any red carpet but this isn't some recluse private society where you have to pay your dues before seeing any results. When I get my coupons my first thought will be to help someone that helped me. Since that will likely be no one because of my "stature" I will pick someone at random that needs the help kinda like paying it forward. But you are right, I have not spent near enough time on this site (due to the fact that I just found it) to expect anything.
